The next morning I had woken up in my room, I looked down on the floor to find Lucas. He had fallen asleep there last night. But he was no longer there. The door opened to him bringing in a tray of breakfast. Eggs Benedict, french toast, and grapes with freshly squeezed orange juice. He brought enough for two.

"Oh my..." I said as he closed the door with his foot. "I hope no one saw you."

"Everyone is still asleep. I'm sure you're hungry?"

"I am."

He sat on my bed across from me and sat the tray down. I took a bite of the eggs Benedict and immediately fell in love. I didn't realize how hungry I was until I took that bite.

"I'm not looking forward to today."Lucas said as he stretched.

"Oh, you mean for your studies."

"Yes, studying wars and strategies, what wars could we have? We are in the middle of the ocean!"

"It's your duty."

"Yeah, yeah."

"And you never know what could happen, there could be an uprising and turn into a riot."

"Our people are too peaceful for that."

"You never know."

"I suppose...will you come with me? Make it a little less painful for me?"

"Of course." I said as I chuckled.

We went down to the library for Lucas' studies. However, instead of studying he kept letting himself get distracted with me rather than focusing. He would grab my hand and rub in and end up giving my hand kisses.

"Lucas," I giggled. "You have to focus and stop focusing on me."

"You make it so difficult."

"If you won't focus then I will grab my own book and read over here." I went and grabbed a book on the shelf and sat on a loveseat that was a few feet away from Lucas.

Only a few moments of silence passed.

"Oh come on, Hazel! Now I feel bored and lonely."

"Lucas!" I laughed. "Stop it and focus."

"It was so much more fun before."

"Lucas, I will start ignoring you."

"Oh sure you will."

I remained silent.

"Hazel."

"..."

"Hazel!"

"You're really not going to talk to me?"

"..."

"Oh no, I can't allow this." He stood from his seat and came over swiftly until he stood in front of me. "Hellooooooo! You can't keep this up."

I looked up at his beautiful face to stare with a small smile on my face. I was feeling triumphant that I was getting such a rise out of him. I looked away and continued reading my book.

"You can't ignore this." He lunged forward with his hands stretched out preparing to start to tickle me. Before he grabbed me I wiggled away and ran around the loveseat and ran into another section of the library between some bookshelves. The library was large so it would be sometime before he found me.

"You can run but you can't hide Hazel." he teased.

I moved over further between the shelves and peeked behind corners to make sure I didn't see him nearby.
