🍓Chapter Twelve: Apologizing 🍓🍓Strawberry Sweet 🍓
"I'm sorry Drake" I look back up into his green eyes.
He sighs running a hand through his luscious chocolate locks.
"I'm really sorry I yelled at you... and you know, you were right. I'm not your girlfriend. You don't have to tell me what you do, or where you go. I'm sorry I thought I was so entitled and I don't blame you if you don't want to be friends with me anymore..." I trail looking down at my hands. I chip off the red nail polish that stains my long nails. It's a nervous habit, what can I say?
"It's our first fight sure, but it's definitely not going to be the last... look," he crouches down next to me picking up a book titled 'the ruins of the Mayan' "we're friends, right?" I nod my head "Then I shouldn't have had a problem telling you, I'm sorry I over reacted" he sighs hanging his head and scratching the back of his neck.
"Drake?" I ask placing a hand on his shoulder. Should I really ask where he was, again? I decide against it. "H-how have you been?" I smile and take my hand away from his shoulder.
He smiles at me. "You know, the usual crack rock, strippers, the leading of my notorious gang" he jokes.
"Sounds... eventful" I chuckle. We both go to stand up at the same time.
"If you wanna come get some coffee with me after school... then I can explain there where I was. If you still want to know -that is" he bites his lip looking down at the floor.
"That sounds great..." I sigh and rub the back of my neck.
"What's wrong?" He asks, his voice laced with concern.
"Hum, I just have to pick up Ryan from soccer practice after school. I forgot today was Monday" Drake tucks some stray hair behind my ear and hooks his finger under my chin forcing me to look up at him.
"That's okay, we can do it another time then" he offers me a warm smile and goes to pick up some of the books from the floor.
"You're... you're gonna join the Skype call tonight right? I mean... I was just wondering because you haven't logged on in a while" I ask bending down to pick up more books to place them in their rightful spots.
"Uh, yeah. I've just been a little busy lately that's all. Sorry" he chuckles nervously.
"That's okay," I assure him and continue sorting out the many history books on the ground.

The familiar sound of the Skype ringtone fills my ears. The caller ID reads 'Hakeem Thompson' I answer without another thought to it.
"Hey!" I chirp up when his face appears on my screen. I see that he is sitting in his usual spot in his room like most nights while my laptop lays lazily on my bed.
"Hey" he mumbles typing something on his key board, most likely adding our friends to the call.
"Hum... about this morning, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you like that" I admit trying to make amends.
"It's whatever" he mumbles clearly having other ideas.
"Keem, I said I'm sorry, why are you being like this?" I ask slightly annoyed.
