🍓Chapter Six: Why Are We Not Partying? 🍓

I had decided to hang the picture on my wall. It looks good, but I feel like it's too realistic and serious thought. Maybe I could have done a cartoon one? I should stop over thinking it. Really.
"Hey, guys?" Hakeem asks from the laptop speaker.
"Yeah?" I ask at the same time as Tatiana.
"Why is it that it's a Friday night and we're inside?" He asks with a sigh. "Why are we not partying?"
"Because it's raining out, and dark, and cold?" I say, more of a question than an answer.
"That's bull! We should go to Rudy's party" Luke suggests.
"I'd rather sleep" Ryan comments. Of course, Ryan would rather be lazy then have social interaction.
"C'mon, it's a Friday night, and it's our senior year!" Tatiana whines.
I lay back down on my bed before glancing up at the ornament. Why does it bother me so much? I can faintly hear the others talking in the background but I'm too oblivious to listen to what they are saying. Why does that ornament feel so... wrong?"Blue eyes?" I snap back into reality. I glance down at the computer screen.
"Hmm?"
"What do you say?" Drake asks.
"About what?" I raise an eyebrow confused as all hell.
"About going to Rudy's party?" Drake asks with a sigh of annoyance.
"I'm good. It's getting late. what do you think Ry?" I ask.
"If you were listening I said I'd rather sleep." He huffs out. Smart ass.
"Well excuse me, sweetheart, but you're not the only thing that occupies my time" I snarl in a sickly sweet tone.
"Listen here you little bi-"
"Guys!" Hakeem exclaims from the speakers.
"What?" We both snap.
"You two are going, and that's final" he explains with a shrug. I didn't know he was the one who makes those type of decisions.
"You can't tell us what to do" Ryan huffs out.
"No, you guys are definitely coming. If you two don't meet up at my place in ten, then we will all drag you guys out of bed" Drake laughs.
"No!" Ryan and I exclaim. I shut my laptop, ending the call.
I curl up under my bedspread and drift off into a peaceful sleep.

"Awe, look at how cute she is" someone whispers.
"Shhh, you're gonna wake her up!" Someone else whispers.
"Isn't that what we are here for?" That time another person asks in a normal voice.
"Oh yeah, NICK! Get up, bitch!" And that's Tatiana
"Go away" I whine. "I'm deepening'." My voice comes out babyish due to my drowsiness.
Tatiana and Luke let out an 'awe' in unison.
"Get up, Blue eyes" Drake's voice booms from the doorway. I open my eyes to see him standing by my door looking utterly bored with his arms crossed over his chest. How did they get in my house?
"Awe, dammit! You woke her... she looked so adorable!" Luke pouts.
"Now she's gonna be all mean and grumpy, good job guys. You broke her" he grunts."Shut up! And get out of my room! I'm not going to that stupid party at Ruins" I snap coldly.
"It's Rudy, and yes you are" Hakeem demands.
"Where the hell is Ryan, why does he get to sleep?" I ask.
"Actually, I didn't get to sleep either, And you're lucky. They poured water on me!" Ryan complains about rubbing his wet hair with a towel entering the room.
"Get over it. Come on, get up, blue eyes" Drake offers me his hand. I take it and sit up. I let the blankets fall from my body loosely.
"I'm not exactly decent right now, so get out so I can change," I say quietly while rubbing the back of my neck to avoid eye contact as I stand there wearing short shorts and a cropped tank top showing off my blue crystal belly button piercing. Everyone stays quiet except for a snickering Tatiana.
I look up to see why when I notice all of the boys -excluding Ryan of course- gawking at my indecent exposure. Ryan slaps the back of Luke's head.
"Quit checking my sister out, come on!" Ryan pulls the boys out of the room while taking a bite of his... sandwich? Where did he get that from?
They all follow him hesitantly but Tatiana stays behind to help me get ready.

"This one" Tots holds out a short red dress with a low cut back.
"Mmm... no" I shake my head.
"Hmph... this one" she holds out a yellow and green dress. I give her a 'are you serious?' Kind of expression.
"Yeah, I didn't think so... this one" she holds out a simple black dress with criss-cross straps in the back with a low cut material, with sleeves that come down to my elbows.
"With these shoes" I hold out a pair of bulky toed Swede black stilettos with red on the bottom.
"Absolutely!" She shouts. I slip the dress on and shuffle into the shoes. I look into the mirror and untie my hair letting the white, loose, curls fall over my shoulders and down my back.
"What about makeup?" I ask her with a doubtful expression.
"Absolutely not! Did you not hear Mrs. Burns in class a couple of weeks ago?" I shake my head 'no' "simplicity looks great on you. You have that natural look that should never be covered with makeup!" She exclaims. I don't think she said that, but I do remember her saying something about the importance of simplicity. Am I really all that pretty?
I face the mirror again. I touch my pale cheeks softly. My cheekbones pop out, I have a sharp jawline... big blue-white eyes... and large eyelashes, My lips are plump and pink... I guess I'm relatively pretty.
"Now, c'mon. Let's go see what the boys think" she grabs my arm softly walking me downstairs. I don't get it. How can she think I'm so pretty when she is flawless. Her dreads sit on top of her head in a large bun stunningly, and her big brown eyes compliment her freckled Carmel brown cheeks. Her slim, straight, and tiny nose, and big pink lips. Her septum piercing tops it all off. Shes better looking than me by far.
I look up and meet the gaze of Drake's first. He gawks at me with a smug smirk before he regains his composure and puts his hands in his pockets. Luke eyes me up licking his lips like he -quite literally- wants to eat me.
"Don't take this the wrong way, baby... but you look better now then you did with fewer clothes on" Hakeem compliments eyeing me up and down.
"Hey! I called dibs even before hunter!" Luke whines stepping in front of me.
"Oh did you now?" I ask and brush my finger against the nape of his neck softly. He shudders at my touch. "Hm, too bad you'll never have me" I smirk and walk off towards the car leaving a snickering Ryan and a frowning Luke behind me.
Off to party, we go...
