🍓Chapter Twenty Nine: Cocaine and Florescent Lights🍓Strawberry Sweet🍓
He didn't need to fight me on it this time. I had hoped on his motorcycle seconds after he had gotten on. We didn't have time to argue.
We had to get out of there.
I also had the responsibility to make it to my house 'ASAP' to make sure everyone is okay, and to let them know that I am as well.
"I've got to stop somewhere before I take you home, is that cool?" He yells back at me through the sound of Harley's motor and the rapid wind.
So much for ASAP...
"Sure! I've got all night!" I know that may have sounded like sarcasm but I'm not wrong. My dad comes home at two in the morning, so technically he won't be back until tomorrow.
The cold night air whips around us as the agile motorcycle cuts through the air. I close my eyes for a moment, enjoying this brief ride in silence.
We drive for a while longer until we come to a stop at an abandon factory building. I recognize it from when we first moved here. It was the one thing that stuck out like a sore thumb. Like a broken down misplaced tile in a floor of marble.
But wait... if we're here then we're at the edge of town. Far from where I need to be. Adrenaline begins to course through my veins and the chilly night air not doing its job in cooling my skin down, rather I feel hot and bothered.
"Wear this" Donovan tells me and hands me his jacket again. I take in his scent of cigarettes and mans cologne, an erotic smell that just screams danger. "You look like a brainless Pom pom swinging blondie right now, and these people aren't exactly that type of social group".
"Thanks," I reply monotonously and put the cold leather jacket on feeling insulted. I walk behind him following him into the building.
As soon as we reach the doors it smells of dust and cigarettes. The building is cold, and not such humid air, and it's not very friendly.
After walking up a flight of stairs we come to a set of big brown double doors.
Donovan opens it to reveal a room filled with biker looking people and chicks in slutty clothing. The whole place reminds me of a bar.All eyes are now on the two of us and people playing pool, drinking, and overall stop to stare.
One.
Two.
Three beats of absolute silence. You could hear a butterfly flap it's wings in a room of such sound as this.
Then all at once...
"Donny." A man dressed in a worn leather jacket and dark jeans walks through the room to stand in front of us. He gives off an eerie vibe.I grab Donovan's hand for comfort. Donovan stands with an intimidating posture that matches the men.
Donovan traces circles on my hand with his thumb as he holds it reassuringly, the only action that shows he has emotion. Otherwise, he'd be a stone cold killer if I didn't know any better.
The man looks to be around his middle fifty's. He has tousled black hair just like Donovan's and more than a few silver hairs. The man takes a drag of his cigarette and then flicks it on the floor to step on it. The embers go out with a hiss as the soul of the man's shoe diminishes the life within it.
"Who's this?" He Asks inhaling the smoke with squinted eyes. The mans have been around the block, you can tell. An old soul no doubt. He's definitely not one to blow smoke up your ass, (old expression, not some kinky shit) although as of now he does blow the puff of smoke directly into my face, as if almost mockingly.
