Chapter 2

I heard bacon sizzling on the stove. He said "Good morning angel," and smiled that smile.

"Good morning." I smiled back.

"Bacon's almost ready... she up yet?"

"Ya she's up." he chuckled.

After that we ate and he drove me to school. We went in holding hands and everybody was staring at us.It sent a tingly feeling up my back. At first I couldn't wait till lunch to talk to Quinn but then we walked past Ava's locker and I heard Quinn laugh and felt like sinking to the ground. Eli noticed how I stiffened as we walked by and he put his arm around me.

Once we got to our lockers he said "See you at lunch?"

"Maybe if I feel like going." I shrugged I hated lunch now Quinn is always on a table spilling all my secrets.

"Oh" he shifted his weight and frowned a little, "Maybe" he repeated. Then he caught me glaring at Quinn and her smiling back and said "OH" when it finally snapped.

Then I trudged off to chemistry. The morning went by so slowly. When lunch came I got some water and went to go read outside. When I got outside I almost fell and choked on my water a little Eli was sitting on the little meadow waiting for me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked with a stupid grin on my face but trying to act annoyed.

"You know eating lunch with the most beautiful girl." he smiled his beautiful perfect smile.

"Oh, really no one's here except you and a girl who is ugly af." I joked

" So chicken or summer sausage sandwich?"

" Summer sausage."

After that we talk about what happened last night and about his sisters. Apparently I wouldn't let my tight hug around him unclenched enough to let him out. After a short 30 minutes we had to go back.

That night I felt like shit so I called Quinn...

" Hello?" it's like she doesn't even know me

"Hey I had lunch with Eli." I didn't know what to say and she's had a major crush on him before she went all I'm a big bitch on me.

"Really I kissed Brian!"

"No! Really!"

" Ya!"

"But isn't Ava dating him?" I said just to talk.

"No he dumped her and she 'made up' with Benjamin." Made up means that they had makeup sex. Ava dated about every cute boy in our state she's like a angel of victoria's secret.

"OMG!" I screamed into the phone "No way!"

"Ya way, anyway Brian asked me to the spring dance."

"Really I'm so happy for you no one's asked me I probably won't go anyway."

"Ya right I seen Eli look at you."

"What's that supposed to mean?!" I know he wouldn't ask me I am WAY to ugly.

"Oh, come on he like's you."

"No he doesn't." I knew he didn't like me we were just friends... right?

" Ya he does."

"No."

"Fine, I'll call you in a little bit I'm calling him."

"Wait no don't!!!!!!" I screamed into a dead phone.
