The first chapter this year!
_________
Eri POV
It has been a week since the whole, kidnapping, Conan is Shinichi incident. Which brings me to my next point, that brat designed a nice hideout. Somehow their were rooms, plumbing, enough food to last all of us at least a year, games, toys, and solar powered lights and TV (so we wouldn't appear on the grid). But, all this actually irritates me to some degree. Since I am trying really hard to be mad at him for making my daughter cry and not telling her where he was. Though, I can never hold those feelings long. Whenever I see them look into each others eyes, hopelessly in love, I can't help but be reminded of my love with my kind-of- husband. Which, would normally just makes me even more irritated, but not anymore. In this past month, he seems changed, more aware of how short life is. He has stopped watching Yoko and other woman in general, he has started getting me little gifts like some flowers he picked when it was his turn to scout, and generally showing more love towards me. And I would be lying when I say it hasn't gotten to me at all.
Ahem, any way back to what I was saying, Shinichi has a nice system set up. We have different jobs that alternate shifts for who does what when. We have patrols to make sure that no one has found us yet, dish washers, cleaners, and we even have a babysitting job where you watch over the detective boys and make sure they don't get into trouble (due to Shinichi's influence I bet). Everyone is helping out except for Shinichi, who has been condemned to bed rest. Though, he tries very hard to sneak out in order to help. It's a good thing that we also have a babysitting job for Shinichi, that is usually assigned to Ran. After all, she just has to look at him and he gets back into bed immediately. This is just one of the things that demonstrates why they are perfect for each other! Just don't tell Shinichi I said that because I want to have a little fun with him later. I mean, what is the point of your daughter having a boyfriend if you can't mess with his emotions by making him think you don't approve of their relationship?

Shinichi POV
I'm so boooooooored!!!!! There is absolutely nothing for me to do since I have been confined to bed rest. Really I think they are making too big of a deal over it. Sure I almost died, but that doesn't mean I am completely helpless. But every time I try to leave, Ran is there. And, I will admit that is starting to creep me out. It's like she has a Shinichi radar that alerts her if I am about to do something stupid.
"Hey Ran, can you help me carry these boxes?"
"Yeah sure mom".
I smiled as I heard their footsteps going down the hall, Ran is gone! Which means I can sneak out and finally do something!
"Oh, wait one second mom. Hey Agasa, can you watch Shinichi while I go help my mom?"
"Yeah sure".
They walk in and I swear I see Ran smirking at me! You know, sometimes I hate how well my girlfriend knows me. But when she came over to kiss me goodbye, I smiled. Forgetting that I was even mad at her.

Ran's POV
I was chilling in the living room watching Shinichi when my mom came up to me,
"Hey Ran, can you help me carry these boxes?"
"Yeah sure mom". After all, I had nothing else to do.
I followed after my mom towards the boxes when I remembered something, Shinichi. Oh, I bet he would have loved to get some time alone. Too bad for him, that is not going to happen. So I look around for someone that is free at the moment to watch the stubborn child that I call my boyfriend. That is when I notice Agasa looking sadly at a pile of ashes, that I'm guessing are another failed invention.
"Oh, wait one second mom. Hey Agasa, can you watch Shinichi while I go help my mom?"
"Yeah sure".
He took off his now black googles and came toward me. Together we entered the medical bay where Shinichi taken residence. Though when I entered through the archway, I noticed the pout Shinichi had on his lips. I bet he thought that I forgot about him. And, when I thought if that little fact, I couldn't help but smirk just a little. After I we both were inside the room, Agasa went to go sit down while I was looking at my boyfriend. That is when I noticed the slight frown he had on his face. Realizing that he was kinda mad at me, I went over and kissed him on the forehead and said goodbye in the way out. However, before I left, I noticed the faint trace of a smile on Shinichi's face. With that, I knew he had forgiven me. After all, I am not oblivious to how much he wants to help. But something that I have learned about Shinichi in all my years of knowing him, he doesn't realize when he has reached his limit. Which is also the reason why I am here, to tell, and force, him to take a break. I was broken out of my thoughts by the sound of my mom's heels clicking on the ground as she approached me.
"Are you ready now?"
That is the question we are asking ourselves right now, and I am not talking about boxes. We are going against an unknown size organization that has been around for unknown amount of years. In fact, the only things we do know about them is that they need to be stopped. However, while I was thinking about it, I realized something. When Shinichi first got mixed up with them, he had no idea they were even an organization. He literally knew nothing then they were doing business with some serious cash, they are customed to killing who finds out anything about them, and they wear black. At least we know a bit more about their organizational system and the type of stuff they deal with. That is when I realized that with that to go on, Shinichi was far from ready. But he still went after them to get his life back and to make sure they never hurt anyone he loves. With that in mind, I now know the answer to my mom's question,
"Yes, I think I am".

Ano Kata POV
I stared at the screens that I had set up in front of me. They depicted every house, building, or location of Shinichi's friends and family. I also have some showing all the markets near the houses. But, it has been a week and they still haven't appeared on any of the video feed. So they must have a safe house somewhere. Which must also be well stocked since they have not gone shopping recently. However, they will soon make a mistake. And when that happens, I hope that you have said goodbye to all of your friends and family Shinichi.
Because, you will never see them again.

Bonus:
Teacher POV
It started with Shinichi, one day he just disappears. I tried asking around to see if anyone has seen him. The best I got was that he was probably caught up in some case again and will be back soon. As for the parents, I couldn't seem to be able to reach them. I started to believe that it was just some case until the first month had pasted, then I started to worry. Now, several months later, with still no sign of him, I didn't think it could possibly get worse. That is until the beginning of the week. It was just another school day when I noticed, while taking attendance, that both Ran and Sonoko are not here today. Since I knew they were good students, I just figured they got a cold and would be there the next day. However, when that day arrived, they still weren't here. First I called their parents, neither of Ran's picked up and Sonoko's said they couldn't find her. I then inquired as to if they have told the police. They said,
"Yeah, we have. But the weird thing is that they also said that some of their homicide detectives and other people have also gone missing on the same day. That isn't what is weird though. They said that when investigated, all of them were last seen near a black Porsche 356A. Which is a very rare car to find. However, it gets stranger. After they grouped them together, they noticed something else. That they all were connected. Each person in the group knew someone who knew someone else in the group. And the most frequent connectors were Shinichi and a kid named Conan Edogawa. But, what really has the police baffled is that when they looked up Conan to see if they could find him, they found nothing. There was no history, birth certificate, or social security of the kid. Yet he was somehow in enrolled in school. Not only that but another kid, named Haibara Ai has gone missing too was in his class. And she also has no proof that she exist except being in school. So basically, I am guessing Sonoko is not going to be in school for a while. And I do apologize for the inconvenience". I knew she was trying to crack a joke because in actuality, she was worried for her daughter.
"It's fine really, I hope you find her".
"Thank you, good night".
"Night".
I put the phone down and let everything I just learned sink in. Somehow I knew that this also has something with Shinichi's disappearance. And, I don't care if it is his fault or not, I just hope all of my students are safe.
