Chapter 3- Finding Some Answers

Ran's POV
I was ready to find the answers to my many, many questions. To begin with I was going to go to Agasa's house to see if how Conan is related to him. So I made a quick dinner for my dad and I, and left the apartment. I began walking, remembering the way I came with Sonoko yesterday. I passed by many houses that I felt that I have seen before. Also the path I was taking seemed familiar too!
--flashback--
"Hurry up Shinichi! We are going to be late!"
"I am coming Ran, geez. You don't have to be in such a rush."
"Be quiet, and just hurry up. My grandma can move faster than you."
"Oh! Is that so?" He then started to sprint ahead of me while calling,
"Who's the grandma now?" While he was laughing. "Man, he is so rude. But I am not mad at him? Instead I am happy, I wonder why".
"Well we'll see won't we" and I began to run again, pushing away my thoughts.
--end--
"It's because you are in love with him, idiot"then she laughed at how her past self acted around this guy that I , apparently, like." Regardless, it seemed I used to walk this way for school, though I remember something different."what is going on? I remember my life without Shinichi or Conan. But then I also remember parts of my life with them in it. So which one is real?*sigh* I guess the only way to find out is to find out more about them."
--a very short time skip--
I arrived at the house and rung the door bell, but I didn't hear anything."I guess it must be broken" so I tried knocking, but there was still no answer. I was about to leave when his voice came through.
"Hello, who's there?"
"Uh, my name is Mōri Ran and I am here to see professor Agasa."
"Well this is Agasa speaking and what business do you have with me?"
"I had some questions for you, if that will be fine?"
"Yes it is but right now I am over at my neighbors cleaning up. Since they are overseas right now. So I will let you in to their house if that is ok with you?"
"Yeah, I will be over".
--little time skip--
"Whoa they have a big library".
"That's because he is a mystery writer and, and there was something else."
"Can you not remember?"
"Yeah I guess it's because I am getting old" he then laughed and I joined soon after.
"Well actually why does he have this house here in the first place if he is overseas right now?"
"Well he comes here every once and in a while."
"But wouldn't he have a smaller house than? I mean this is pretty big for just a vacation home."
"Yeah, now that you mention it, it is. Anyway what did you want to ask me? I mean that is what you are here for."
"Oh right! My question is do you have a relative named Conan?"
"Conan?" He laughed" as in the author of Sherlock Holmes? What his last name ah" I then watched as he was looking around the room at the books on the shelf. "Edogawa?" He continued laughing as I answered,"yes". He stopped laughing and looked at me and responded,
"No I don't think I know a Conan that is related to me, sorry." Then what was that memory from? Because it certainly seemed as if they know each other in it."
"It's fine but I was wondering something else as well.
"What is it?"
"Do you know a Shinichi?" After he heard the name he began thinking when all of a sudden he face lit up. He bagan pacing around while mumbling words to himself. He also had the biggest smile on, but I felt that it wasn't the best I have seen.
--flashback--
The police were taking away the culprit when a police detective came up and said,
"Thanks again Shinichi".
"You're welcome" he responded while flashing a smile that was one of my favorite sights to see.
--end--
"I remember now!" That thought knocked me out of my thoughts and back to reality.
"Remember what?"
"Shinichi is Yūsaku's son, the man who owns this house. The reason they have this house is because he wanted to stay in Japan and not overseas. Also there are so many books because he loves to read books, especially mystery books."
"Why did he want to stay here and not go with his parents?"
"I think it was because he likes someone here, who means the world to him." At this I felt this indescribable feeling on my heart. It was like my world broke and was drenched in sadness. And I could barely keep myself focused on anything. Then I start to feel tears build up in my eyes that I quickly swiped away before Agasa could notice." Why am I affected? I mean I know I like him but I can't remember loving him. So why, why do I feel so terrible?"
"Well, do you know who he likes?" I asked trying to see who has his heart.
"If I remember correctly" he began while thinking really hard when he faced me with surprise on his face." It's you"
--another flashback--
"If you're a detective, then at least you should deduce what's in my heart! Idiot!"
"H-hey, wait. Ran, wait! I said wait!" He grabs my arm stopping me from running.
"No! Let me go!!"
"You're really troublesome!!"
"Huh?"
"You're a troublesome, tough case, you know? With all these distracting emotions, even if I where Holmes, it'd be impossible for me to crack!! The heart of a woman whom one likes, how can someone accurately deduce that!! Those words dried my tears as well as cause me to become frozen. "He likes me! Shinichi likes me!! And I have never felt happier.
