Yusaku POV
Akai, Agasa, Heiji, Megure, and I are looking at the plans for one of the organizations hide outs when we hear Rachel screaming at Kudo to get back in bed.
"You know, even though we have TV, they provide the best entertainment" I heard Megure say.
"Plus it lightens the atmosphere of the entire cave. It is probably what makes this seem more like a vacation." Akai responds.
"Yeah if by vacation you mean a situation where we are hiding for our lives from a dangerous organization that has been killing people for years and no one knew. Then yes it is a vacation, but at least we can work on our tans" I heard Heiji mutter.
"Regardless of whatever what we are in is called, I think we should be getting back to the matter at hand"
"Always the mediator Agasa. It's nice to know that some things never change. In fact, I remember one time where my wife and I had a particular bad argument on how I portrayed an actor in one of my books-"
"The matter at hand" Agasa interrupted me
"Yes, of course. So we were looking at these blueprints of one of the buildings that Shinichi found out they used. We know that there is no guards outside the facility, but there is cameras and a dense around the building. However, while looking at the cameras, we discovered that there is a blind spot. The issue is that the blind spot is nowhere near the entrance." I tell them.
"Yes, but it is near the electric box, and that is all we are going to need" a voice behind me says.
"What do you mean that is all we are going to need?" I ask while turning around, and meeting my son's smirking face.
"What are you doing up?!"
"Now is not the time for that dad, Ran will get back from the bathroom soon. So I will have to make it quick. This Friday there will be a thunderstorm lasting the entire day. So while the storm is happening, one of us gets into that blind spot and cut the electricity-"
"And because of the storm, they won't initially think it is foul play. Allowing us to sneak into the building." Heiji finished.
"Pretty much yeah. But really Heiji, why are you always trying to steal the ending. That is the best part-"
"Shinichi!"
"Man, that was quicker than I thought it would be. Now if you excuse me, I am going to run for my life now".
Just like that, my son left the room and started to run down the hall.
"Have you seen which way he went?"
"To the right"
"Thanks    "
"Your welcome Ran"
She then smiled at us before following in Shinichi's footsteps.
"He is so dead" Megure said.
Totallys and yeahs were heard throughout the room.
It was quiet for a few moments until Agasa asked, "you guys want to go get some lunch?"
None of us could stop ourselves from laughing at my neighbor.
"What?! I'm hungary!"

3rd person
Things continued as normal for the rest of the week. They did their jobs, hung out with each other, and trying to stop Ran from killing Shinichi. However, there was always the unasked question of what was going to happen Friday in the air.
-time skip to Thursday-
"Okay everybody " ,Jodie stated,"we have put this off as long as we could. But we still need to figure out who is going on the operation tomorrow. And before you ask, that excludes anyone who is injured Shinichi".
Laughs were heard from around the room as they all stared at the gaping detective. Shinichi was about to say something, but quickly shut up again when he notice his girlfriend's stare. This in turned caused even more laughter through out the room.
"Moving on, I also think that the civilians included in this should be kept to as little as possible," Jodie continued, "since they have had no training for anything like this. Is everyone in agreement?"
A chorus of yeahs were heard throughout the room, even the, still, pouting detective agreed with Jodie's decision.
"Now that the first thing is settled, does anyone in here have any experience with electrical boxes- Shinichi, put your hand down! We already said you are not recovered enough for this."
"First off, I still think I am. Secondly, though I would be great for this job," Shinichi started to say as everyone else in the room rolled their eyes at him. "I was actually going to say it should be Akai. Since not only does he knows the make-up of electric boxes, he also has experience in the organization using the particular kind that they have."
The whole room just stared at him.
"What?! Do my injuries also prohibit me from giving my input?"
"No," Jodie said," it's just..how do you know all that info about Akai?"
"I just do, I guess. Why?"
"Well do you know that much information about everyone in this room?" Jodie continued.
"Yeah"
"Well since you are not allowed to go on assignments until you are better, I see no reason that you can't organize them, right?"
"You mean I can finally do something other than sleeping and getting yelled at?!" Shinichi asked, getting him a chorus of laughter from across the room. As well as a stare from his girlfriend.
"Yes, you can finally do something else. Plus, it was you who came up with this. So it makes you perfect for the job. Any objections?"
Everyone either shook their head or said no, even Ran.
"So, Shinichi, get up here and start your job"
——
With Shinichi's help, they were able to assign all of the necessary jobs for the mission.

Shinichi- Supervisor

Heiji- Lookout #1

Yusaku- Over-seerer

Megure- Lookout #2

Sato- Infiltrator #1

Takagi- Infiltrator #2

Akai- Mechanic

Jodie- Infiltrator

Yukiko- Pick-up #1

Once everyone looked over the list and agreed to it, Kogoro a bit reluctantly,  Jodie spoke again. "Now, tomorrow is going to be a busy day. So everyone get to bed so we can be well rested". No one said a word as they followed her instructions to the letter. Those who were not going were relieved, but, at the same time, they were worried for their friends and family who were going. While those that were going, were just hoping and praying that everything goes smoothly and no one gets her.

Ano Kata's POV

He couldn't believe they escaped, but that is not what angered him the most. It was the fact that his useless workers couldn't seem to find a trace of them anywhere. He gets if you can hide yourself for an hour, and, if you are lucky, a day. But a week! He couldn't believe it. He bet it was due to that little annoyance Shinichi Kudo. So not only did his huge, powerful, and influential organization fail to locate the people he wanted, but it was due to a teenager that is still in high school. Suffice to say, he was having a bad day. I am going to find you Kudo, and when I do, I will waste no time killing you and everyone you love.

I know it was really late updating, I'm sorry. I was trying to figure out which direction to put the story in. I also have been really busy lately and haven't found a lot of time to write. So sorry again, and I hope you are enjoying the story and if you have any feedback, let me know. I would love to know what you think I could do to make the story better.
