Indeed, the council had decided. Kaleb and Joey protesting had shown up, and immediately, three of the council members raised their hands. Another one slowly rose their hand. That was it. The other five had kept their hands down, and they stood by it. The three members that had raised their hands looked straight at the other five.

"Are you out of your mind?"

"Raise your hand!"

"Are you actually on their side!? They're going against us!"

"So? You saw Joey's speech to his mom pop up yesterday. He's right."

"What are you on about!?"

As I clicked the positive button, the council room erupted into madness. They threatened at each other, they started getting physical. Two of the council members literally had a fight right there. It was insane. They were like children sometimes. Their fight popped on the board, but only the newest guy, who had kept his hand lowered for Joey and Kaleb, raised his hand as he was paying attention.

I pressed the negative button, and we all watched as the two members who were fighting, their rainbow hair dissipated and was replaced with light hair, except with a lock of dark hair. They continued fighting. The rest watched them nervously after seeing that, but they were still arguing.

"Joey is just some kid. He has no idea what he's talking about."

Some of them gave up, and sat back down. One of the two fighting, shoved the other guy at the door, and he fell through them, and the other followed. They were gone.

The council room fell back to silence, as the others, still with rainbow hair looked at each other. They briefly apologized and put aside their differences. I had a smirk on my face, but quickly erased it.

This was the path of change. Joey and Kaleb were importing change on the world. They were the world's first Dark Equalists.

They supported equality for darks and even if it would result in punishment, or severe consequences. They dedicated the rest of their lives to supporting the dark cause. Kaleb's parents eventually started supporting them more, and on the other hand, Joey's mother never supported them. She did though always visit Joey often, thought not a direct visit. His mom would always drive by, and catch Joey's eyes or sit in the back of an event Joey and Kaleb were at.

Even though Joey and Kaleb were looked down upon in society and were casted aside as their protests only sparked inspiration in a couple of people at most, and they gained almost full heads of dark hair by the time they were older, they were the most achievable people in my eyes, and the few others who took them into consideration.
