Chapter 3

--Kylie's POV--

I groaned as I woke up, I was back in the cell. I got up off of my bed and saw Sam out cold on her bed. Thank goodness, nothing had happened to her. Just then I winced in pain, the spots all over my body started to ache. It felt like something odd was coursing through my bloodstream, I sighed. 'This must be what it felt like to Jake... But probably worse' I thought.

I then decided I'd figure out what I had been turned into. I yawned and flicked my tail. 'Wait a second... TAIL!?' I thought. I looked at my backside, and I saw a fluffy red and white tail. I sighed again, 'I must be a fox hybrid or something...' I thought. Then I heard a groan from Sam's side of the cell. I slowly walked over, wondering what she would think of me.

She bolted up and whisper-yelled, "Kylie!!" I lay back down on my bed and sighed, but I sat back up and looked over to her. "I'm here," I said to her, standing up. She jumped up and looked at me in shock for a second, but ran straight at me.

"K-Kylie!?" She tackled me with a hug. "You're alive! she shouted I nodded, "Yeah I'm alive."I said. Sam got off of me and examined me. "Your voice sounds different," she concluded. I nodded, "I guess it is..." I looked down at my hands. Then Sam's eyes widened. "K-Kylie..." she said, sounding a bit worried. "What is it?" I asked. "Your hair is turning white and red..." She trailed off. I sighed and looked at my hair, suprised to see it bright red and white, the same red and white that was on my tail.

That was when I had pains all over me again. I hunched over and fell onto the floor. "Kylie!" Sam yelled as she ran over to me. I could feel something different though, something I hadn't felt earlier. Right then, the pain went awa and I sat up. "Oh my Notch, Kylie you have a tail..." she trailed off examining me.

"What!?" I exclaimed looking behind me again. I saw the red and white tail had returned, but I still felt something different, then I realized. I reached my hand up to my head, and I felt fox ears on the top of my head. I reached my hand down to where my ears normally were, They weren't there. I looked over to Sam with an astonished look on my face when Dr. Manning came up to the cell again. "Hello my little fox hybrid," he said. "Now, Sam was it? You need to come with me." He declared. My gaze dropped to the floor. I hoped that Sam would survive this.
