Chapter 4

Hey there followers! One of the new characters will be introduced in just a little bit! Credit will go to the characters and stuff at the end, because I'm sure you want to get reading!

--??? POV--

      I was lying on the bed in my cell at the facility, when I heard Dr. Manning coming down the hallway. I got up and decided to take a look. I saw him dragging two newer people into the cell next to mine. I went back to the bed and sat back down. 'Two more people to suffer in this stupid place with us then,' I thought. I looked over to my cell mate, Aspen. She was still out cold after the experiment that had just been done on her. I sighed remembering her screaming from the experiment room. Thinking about that just reminds me of the day I was brought here, and before I knew it, I was drifting back into my memories.

      Flashback

      I woke up in my house to a loud scream. I immediately got up and raced down into the living room of my small house. I was astonished to see my mom lying on the floor with blood dripping down her chest. Over her, was a strange blue man, who I assumed to be a half squid, half human hybrid, holding a blue sword. My dad was holding him off with a broom protecting my sister Ruby, when he saw me in the hallway. "Run Ashanti, Run!" He shouted at me. This caused the squid man to turn around and see me. I ran out the door, as fast as I possibly could.

      As I was running, I noticed many of my neighbors lying dead on the ground, or fighting off these squid men, and squids with water tanks. I turned a corner and ran into the forest. There, I saw a man in a lab coat dragging a body across the forest floor. He turned around to see me, and he smiled, but it seemed to be an evil smile. "Have you just ran away from the town being destroyed?" He asked me calmly. I nodded, and he lay the body down onto the floor. "How old are you?" He asked me. "I-I'm nine," I said nervously. He had that evil grin in his face again. "You will do just fine," He said. Then everything went black.

      That was when I woke up to find myself in the facility. As far as I knew, it didn't have a name besides that. I took in my surroundings to see I was in a cell. I heard footsteps come by the cell entrance, and I saw the man in the lab coat. He motioned for me to come with him after he opened up the cell. "Come with me," He said, as I got up and walked over to him. I followed him over to a room that had a table in the middle of it. "Lay down on here," He instructed. I didn't know if I should listen to him or not, but I got up onto the table anyways. The next thing I knew, I was strapped in, and I was being poked all over the place by needles.

      The next thing I knew, I woke up in my cell again. I looked up and saw a mirror on the wall. 'That wasn't there earlier,' I thought. So I got up to go look at it. I looked at myself, and was utterly shocked. I had two white cat looking ears on the top of my head. I also had claws on my hands, and I had a snow leopard tail. Then I realized, they had turned me into a snow leopard hybrid.

      End of Flashback

      I was pulled back to my senses when I heard a scream from the experiment room. I figured it was one of those new people. Then I realized I recognized that voice, a voice that I never thought I would hear again. Someone from the village I used to live in. It was my old best friend, Kylie.

      --Sam's POV (short)--

      I was utterly shocked at Kylie's new appearance. She now had Bright red hair, with a few white streaks. She also had fox ears, and a fox tail. I couldn't believe what these cruel people here had done to my friend. I heard footsteps approaching the cell, and I turned around to see Dr. Manning. "Hello my little fox hybrid," He said looking at Kylie. I looked over at her, and she glared at him. That was when I noticed she now had one extra pointy tooth where one of her canines were. "Now, Sam was it? You need to come with me," He declared in a calm tone. I looked over at Kylie and she whispered to me, "Don't struggle against him, you could get killed that way." she said before Dr. Manning grabbed my arm and tugged me out of the cell.

      I followed him to a test room, I guessed that this was where the experiments were done. "Go lay on that table," He said while pointing to a table in the middle of the room. I nodded, remembering what Kylie said, and got up onto the table. I was soon strapped down, I tried to move a little, but it was pointless. There was no getting out of these leather restraints. I watched as he pulled my dark blue sunglasses off of my face and set them on a table. He looked at them thoughtfully, and seemed to have an idea. He grabbed a vial of a glowing white liquid, and I got injected on one part of my arm, but that was it. He grabbed a squirt bottle off of the table by my sunglasses, and sprayed my face with it. "Hey what was that for?" I asked him. He shrugged, but then everything went black.

      --Kylie's POV (also kind of short)--

      I watched as Sam got taken away, and a single tear trickled down ny face. I hoped they didn't try to turn her into an Ender Dragon hybrid or something strong like that, those people never survived. I waited for Sam's voice to scream out of the testing room, but it never came. That worried me a little bit. No, not a little bit, a whole lot. I hoped that she would be ok.

      I was about to sit back down, when I heard a voice from the one next to mine. It sounded a bit nervous. "K-kylie?" It asked. My jaw nearly dropped to the floor. I never thought I would hear that voice ever again. "B-but how?" I whispered.  "Ashanti!?" 

A/N

So, how do you guys like it so far? XD sorry for all of the cliff-hangers. I'll get to those in the nex chapter, which I will hopefully be writing later today, but for now I need to give credit to the creators of certain characters!

@icecat10 is the creator of the character Ashanti. She is one of the winners of that contest to make characters. (Which is still open!) and her sister came up with the character Ruby. (Ashanti's sister) She will be coming into the story later.

The next chapter will hopefully be about one of the team crafted members, and how they will come into the picture. I'm thinking that this will be them creating the group or something. I'm not sure yet. Leave your opinion in the comments, and I will get writing the next chapter ASAP (first I need to take a shower)
