A/N This book will start off with a lot of short chapters, don't worry, they will get longer and more detailed as the story goes on.
It's the first day of school, first period and I walk into my first class. Science. I have never been a fan of science. I just don't understand it. I honestly just think that science is giving us fake reasons for occurrences that we can't explain.
Even though the room hasn't been used since last year, it smells like gas and chemicals. In the corner of the room there are science glasses and dirty lab coats hanging up. Around the side of the class room there are benches and cupboards filled with beakers and test tubes and in the middle are our work tables. Across the room I spot my friend Sophie.
"Emma!" she cries in her cheerful voice.
"Hey Sophie!" I say. We haven't seen each other all holidays as she has been away camping with her family. "I'm so glad I'm in your class!"
"So am I," she laughs.
Sophie is my best friend, we have known each other practically our whole lives. We tell each other everything! Sophie has always been a science whizz. Last year she was the only reason I was able to pass science. She is the smartest in the whole of year nine. Well, second smartest. The smartest person in our year is actually....
"Bailey!!" Sophie says excitedly.
I whip my head around. And walking into the class room I see him. Bailey. Only the cutest, smartest and kindest boy you could ever meet. I sigh and put my head in my hands. Every time I see him I just melt. And when he smiles, I could gladly die knowing that was the last thing I would see.
Sophie nudges me, "Stop staring, he'll think you're a creep."
"What? Oh. yeah," I say, forcing myself out of a trance.
I face the front of the room but follow Bailey with my eyes as he walks to the back of the class and sits a couple of seats down from me.
I look at Sophie, "I think I have a new favourite subject."
She laughs.
Oh what I would do to have the confidence to talk to him.
