It's lunch time and me and Sophie are heading off to lunch. We have been at school for just over two weeks and already I can't wait for the holidays. I notice as we stand in the line for the canteen that Bailey is in front of us. My face immediately goes red and my heart starts pounding.
"Whats wrong?" Sophie asks.
I nod towards Bailey. Her eyes grow wide and she starts to get excited. Me and Bailey have never been within two metres of each other. She is probably thinking that this is my chance.
"Talk to him!" she mouths.
"No way!" I mouth back.
"What do you want?" the canteen lady asks rudely.
"Two sushis," I say.
The lady dumps the food in our hands.
"Five dollars please," she mumbles.
I fish the money out of my pocket and give it to the lady. As I'm picking up our sushi some one bumps into me.
"Sorry," we both say in unison.
As the person walks away I realise what just happened and my mind starts screaming.
OH MY GOD DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN WHAT THE HECK HOW DID I NOT NOTICE WHO THAT WAS OH MY LORDIE LORD DID I REALLY JUST TALK TO BAILEY OH MY GOD!!!
"You ok?" asks Sophie.
I try to speak but I can't because I'm still so stunned over what just happened.
"Are you going to take your food or just stand there," the canteen lady says.
I glare at her and take my food and me and Sophie go sit down together.
"What happened?" Sophie asks again.
I look at her with a huge smile on my face, "Bailey just bumped into me!"
"Wow," Sophie laughs, "Thats not much, but it's progress."
