I messed up, I don't know what I did wrong but I messed up big time. My wolf whimpered and I felt my heart shatter into pieces. Through the hour, I thought I was making progress with her, I could see how I affected her and how much the mating bond pulled her to me. I don't know what happened at the end of the hour that pissed her off, she treated me like I no longer existed.

She ignored me and it almost killed me and I could feel my wolfs spirit being torn apart and the hopelessness and despair I felt was like no other. Shifting and showing her my secret seemed like the only strand of hope I had left and it worked. She seemed exasperated when she saw my wolf but completely hypnotized as well, she invited me to go out with her for food. She invited me on a date.

Food, as she told me is life for her, and she invited me to share a part of her life and it made me delirious with joy.

I could not mess this up, I could not let her ignore me again. My wolf will not be able to handle the rejection, my heart body and soul would not be able to handle the rejection.

I spent the entire night lying outside her window watching her curtains hoping I would be able to catch a glimpse of her, my luck seemed to get worse. I watched over the house and saw the light of the basement still on, I guess they forgot to switch it off. I sniffed the air trying to pick up her scent and the vanilla was not strong enough this far from the house.

I got up to jump over the fence when I heard Felix and George come up behind me.

I growl to Felix in annoyance.

There was another rogue attack tonight. He speaks through mind link.

Lucas from border patrol already told me of the first tonight during my time with my sweet angel.

And? I growl back. They know not to bother me with such information, at least not now.

They managed to get past the outer boundary and where almost a few miles near the inner boundary. He tells me a little warily.

What! I bark out. George cowers in fear

They attacked the second time during the change of border patrol. I don't know how they came to know the information. Felix informed not flinching.

He is my Beta for a reason.

Figure it out. If it is someone from our pack leaking information, I want them dead. I growl out.

Felix didn't move and continued.

The rogue we captured the day before and the two rogues we captured today seem to know each other. But they all refuse to talk, no matter what we try. He remarks.

Figure. It. Out. I growl out.

The idea though bothered me, this was the fourth rogue attack in the past week alone and they were all getting closer to one another. My wolf was very pissed off about how the rogues were getting to us especially when we had finally found our mate. It almost feels like they are here to attack my mate.

Figure it out before your Luna gets injured. My wolf growls out.

Felix and George both bow their heads and growl in agreement. Felix howls in respect and turns to leave while George stays behind.

Alpha you wished to see me about my mate? He asks.

George was one of my most trusted warriors who has a human mate. It was very difficult for him when he found her, especially with how long it took for our pack to accept and trust her.
