14: Mall

Chapter 14

I exited Urban Outfitters then walked for a while, looking for another store. I looked at my nails and cringed. I should go into a nail spa later, huh?

I entered Topshop, immediately greeted by a sales lady.

"What are you looking for, ma'am?" The lady asked politely.

"Nah, I'm good." I said and she nodded, leaving me alone. I already have four huge shopping bags hanging on my arms. I am so happy right now, my dad finally let me shop. I mean, I haven't done a shopping spree for like ages!

I walked to the tops section, looking for something pretty.

I hummed quietly as I touched the hangers boredly. Nothing caught my attention in here, it all looks plain and dull. I love Topshop but, why don't they have fashionable clothings right now? I decided to look for jumpers, since I use my old ones again and again. I was about to grab a jumper but then, my phone rang.

"What a wrong timing." I muttered and searched my phone in my bag. I grabbed it and accepted the call, not bothering to look at the caller I.D.

"He-"

"A—Allison.." Someone sobbed and I immediately let out a, woah. I checked my phone and saw Danielle Peazer on the screen.

"What the hell happened?" I asked, leaving the store.

"H-He, I, W-we broke up." She continued to sob and I feel sad for her.

"What did you two talk about last night?" I asked, looking for a directory.

"I-I can't explain.."

"Okay, I understand.. You don't have to tell me." I said and spotted a guard. I walked towards him and asked where the foot spa is located.

"Just continue to walk forward and if you finally see Forever 21, turn right and you will see three foot spas." The guard said and I thanked him, following his directions.

"What?" Danielle asked.

"Oops, sorry. I just talked to a guard.. I'm at a mall today." I said.

"Oh, what I meant a while ago was I-I can't explain it to y-you because I just m-might break down a-again." She hiccuped.

"So what you're trying to say is if I talk to you in person, you can explain it to me?"

"Yeah, that." She said. I just sighed and looked at my watch.

"How about you come here in North Road mall? Then we'll meet up at..." I looked at the three spas and picked out the one that looks the most expensive.

"At Glacy's Spa." I finished.

"O-okay, see you then." She said then ended the call. Guess who's going in a spa with someone?

I am flipping the pages of the Vogue magazine on my lap while a lady is doing her business on my foot. I yawned and closed the magazine, placing it on the table beside me. I tilted my head backwards, looking at the ceiling.

"Hey Al." Danielle suddenly appeared on my view and I jumped, the manicurist jumped in surprise too. I looked at my foot and got relieved that there's no mess.

"Hey, no need to do that." I said and she smiled. She then sat at the very comfortable one-seater couch beside me.

"Allison, I have no money for this." She whispered.
