As Fury's eyes drifted towards me, he raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Anna?" He remarked looking at me.
"Why are you so surprised?" I asked crossing my arms.
"Well the last time I heard about you they said you were captured." He answered.
"Well I got out."
"She needs medical attention." Fury pointed out as he noticed my beaten body. The doctor helping Nat, Dr. Sullivan, looked over at me and nodded. I was not stupid enough to deny help when I need it, but I didn't need it right then. It didn't even hurt anymore. I just needed to focus on the problem at hand. We had less than 24 hours to get to the Helicarriers. As soon as we made a concrete plan, I'd go to the medical team for help. But I needed to get that plan together now.
"No. I'm fine. Let me just change get out of this uniform" I promised pushing away help. I got out of the huge HYDRA suit and sat down next to Fury. Steve followed Natasha and Dr. Sullivan out. Sam followed them, and Maria left Fury and I alone.
"Can you walk?" I asked him, as I started to brainstorm. I needed to know how many people I could count on physically.
"Barely, but yes. I can. But don't expect me to be running up and down that base."
"I wouldn't even if you were in good health." I joked and he gave me a dirty look. "It's good to see you Nick."
"It's good not to be dead."
"Yeah, it's a good feeling." It's a great feeling.
"You know, you should go and get yourself taken care of."
"I'll worry about it in a second. Do we still have that one mask?"
"The one that changes faces?" He asked to clarify. He shifted in his bed a little, gingerly sitting up more.
"Yeah,"
"Yes, we have one."
"Perfect."
"Anna" Steve called interrupting Fury and I. I turned and looked up him slowly. He was standing behind the pulled back curtain in front of Fury's bed. I didn't want to fight with him, but he was starting to push my buttons. I was on edge, I could have blown up at anytime and at anywhere.
"What?" I asked curtly, glaring a bit.
"Come with me," he requested, he motioned towards the hallway with his head. His arms were crossed and he had a concerned look on his face.
"In a minute." I answered him looking back to Fury.
"Now." He ordered in his Captain America tone.
"Excuse me?" I asked raising an eyebrow. I crossed my arms and glared at him. Did he really think he could order me around like that? I know he wasn't that stupid.
"Anna, please." He almost pleaded. I ignored him and looked back to Fury who was watching us unamused. But he clearly was, his comment gave it away.
"Go. Goddamn you two are tiring." He said in a huff.
"Fine, I'll be back." I rolled my eyes as I got up from my seat. I walked past Steve and he turned and followed me.
"What do you want?"
"You have blood on your shirt." He commented and a hand came to rest on my back steering me somewhere.
"Keen observation Steve."
"You're limping."
"Yes, and the sky is blue. Where are we going? And where are you going with this?"
