"And this?" I asked, pointing to my arm.
Chanyeol's eyebrows furrowed, licking his lips in concentration. "Uhm... arm?" he said tentatively, afraid to make a mistake.
"Yes Loey!" I said, shooting him a wide grin. His midterm was approaching quickly, so I had agreed to help him study the anatomy, as it was something he struggled with. "I don't understand why you're so nervous, you've done perfect so far!"
Chanyeol tousled his hair roughly with a sigh. "I don't know Chae, I just feel like I'm going to fuck myself over with this somehow."
I just rolled my eyes back at him, shuffling through his cue cards. "Chan, you'll be fine! Trust me."
Chanyeol leaned back in his chair, getting himself more comfortable. I had a bad feeling we were going to be in the library for a very long time tonight. The light patter of rain on the windows highlighted just how quiet it really was. It felt like Chanyeol and I were the only ones alive in here. The smell of old parchment and mildew had soaked into every crack and cranny of the building, and I could feel it soaking into my clothes the longer we stayed.
Quickly, Chanyeol and I fired through anatomy, ranging from the simple body parts to more complex terms. He did perfectly fine, I don't know why he was so nervous for this test. I knew he was going to nail it, and I wasn't going to let him forget it.
"Okay Chan, we've done everything thrice." I said with a huff, leaning back in my chair. "Can we go out and do something else now?"
"Like what, Chae? It's nasty out, there's nothing else to do!" Loey said with a huff, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the table. He rested his head in his hands, shooting me a wide grin. "Trust me, I'm as bored with this as you are."
"Do you have any new games we can play?" I asked, knowing fully well that he had a copy of Mario Kart he refused to share. I raised my brows at him with my directed gaze.
His eyes dropped in shame, cheeks burning. "No..." he trailed off, a grin playing on his lips softly.
"Oh, come on Chanyeol, you greedy bastard!"
"It's my favourite game!" he protested, his grin growing wide at my obvious craving for a classic round of Rainbow Road.
"Mine too! Come on, let's multiplayer, I'll even let you be player one! The cartridge will never leave your Nintendo!"
"Eh, Chae, I don't think so..."
"Park Chan-" I started, before the buzzing of our phones cut me off.
Baekhyun: anyone wanna go out and do something?? i'm bored
"Ah, exactly what we needed." I huffed, rolling my eyes at Chanyeol.
perfect timing Byun, i was about to strangle loey
Chanyeol: what were you thinking baek? chae and I are in
Kyungsoo: I'm in as well. What's the plan, Baekhyun?
Baekhyun: movie date wit the boyz?
I smirked at my phone, typing out a quick response.
I'm in, but what's even playing?
Kyungsoo: I can google it
"Hopefully there's something good." Chanyeol said with a grin. "Hell, maybe there'll be something scary."
"Yeah, maybe." I said with a shrug. Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of scary movies; I preferred to be comfortable while watching, not literally shitting myself the entire time.
