My black dress was tight and thin, and would definitely not offer any protection against the pounding rain nailing my window. Either way, I knew I was going to be inside all night. I'd be fine.

Opposed to usual, today I was ready far more early than necessary. Excited would be an understatement -- I was ecstatic for tonight. For our one-month anniversary, Jongin decided to go above what I was expecting. I wasn't expecting much, especially for a friggin one month anniversary, as nobody ever cares about those, but Jongin had 'a special night' planned for us.

Throughout all my pestering, he never revealed his big plans, making me even more excited.

Suddenly my door was thrown open with a harsh thud, making me jump out of my skin. I spun quickly, hand landing over my heart in dramatic fashion. "Chanyeol, don't scare me like that!"

Loey just laughed, rolling his eyes as he sauntered in. "I can't help it when you're so easily spooked, Chae." He smirked, meandering inside quickly. "It's just too easy."

I huffed, grabbing a chair and settling into it, a squeak of protest escaping the worn wood. "Whatever you dick, you could have at least given me a heads up."

Chanyeol followed my footsteps, settling into the chair next to me. He stretched out his gigantic, gangly limbs with a sigh, tilting his head at me playfully. "Come on noona, I feel like I haven't seen you in ages."

I pursed my lips tightly. He wasn't wrong, as I had been trying to divide my time between my heavy course load, hanging out with Jongin, and trying to get a decent amount of sleep. Unfortunately, my interactions with the boys had been limited to brief brunches every once in a blue moon. "I've been busy, Yeol.'

Chanyeol scoffed, shaking his shaggy black hair into his eyes with a flick of his head. "Yeah, been busy getting it on with your boyfriend."

I rolled my eyes at his childishness, slapping his hand where it was resting on the table. "Chanyeol!"

Chan laughed heartily at that, snatching his hand out of my grasp with a smirk. "Did you forget Baek lives right above you? By now, he's thinking of moving out, you've been keeping him up."

"Oh, fuck you, Jongin and I haven't done anything." I said, but I could feel the tips of my ears sizzling. I clenched my legs together, hands folded, and avoiding Chan's piercing gaze.

I could feel Chanyeol staring at me with a grin surely plastered on his face. Amusement rolled off him in waves, loving the image of me squirming under his intense eye. My gaze met his quickly, solidifying my inkling that he was smirking widely at me, and also making my blush turn from rosy to blazing scarlet.

"It's okay, you can deny it all you want." Chanyeol finally laughed, breaking the stiff silence that had formed between us. "As long as you keep it down next time for baby Byun upstairs."

With that, I slapped his arm. "I told you, we haven't done anything!" I whined, my stubborn streak coming out through my tone.

Chanyeol raised his hands defensively, eyes twinkling. "Okay, okay! Whatever you say Chae." He said with a huff, leaning back and crossing his arms. "But my statement still stands; let's do something, I feel like you moved away."

I rolled my eyes, even though I understood his sentiment. I knew he wa trying to guilt-trip me into hanging out with him, but I already had plans. He wouldn't just expect me to back out on them, would he?

"I can't Chanyeol, I'm busy tonight." I said, pursing my lips at him slightly. "Raincheck?"

Chanyeol just now seemed to really notice my outfit, eyes raking in my dress and smoky eyeliner. "Oh, so that's what the getup is for. I get it." He said, moving to stand. I could hear the annoyance in his voice, lacing every syllable. He tried his best hide it, but he was transparent as glass.
