Caitlin POV
"I want to tell you a few things." Nick says as I get nervous.
"Okay..?"
"Shawn." Nick says looking totally serious.
"What about him?" I ask.
"You need to stay away from him. He's bad news." Nick said.
'You son of a bitch I already knew!' I thought.
"Yea I know." I said.
"But that isn't everything..." he continued.
About an hour has pasted. I can and cant believe Shawn did this stuff.
"Thanks for letting me know. And it's not that I hang out with him, we always bump into each other and he doesn't leave me alone." I say honestly.
"Yea I know. He can be like that sometimes." Nick says with a smile on his face.
"What's that smile for?" I ask with a little smile on my face.
"Oh it's just..." he sighs.
"You're really pretty and I think I lik-.." he pauses.
He looks into my eyes and I look at his.
"I like you, Caitlin... I really do." He says grabbing my hands.
I look down at our hands. His hands are so soft holy shit.
"If you don't like me back I understand. It was too fast and I-" I cut him off.
"No it's okay, don't be sorry. Honestly, it's nice to finally see some guy have guts to tell a girl he likes her. Good for you, Nick." I say punching his shoulder lightly.
*RING*
I hear my phone ringing so I look at the caller ID and guess who it is, that little no good piece of shit, Shawn Mendes.
"Hang on, I'm going to take this." I say and Nick nods.
I walk a bit away from Nick and answer the call.
S: Where the fuck are you?
C: Chill Mendes just at the park.
S: Okay I'm coming to get you.
C: Don't bother. I'm going home.
S: At least let me drive you.
C: No Shawn.
S: Caitlin, let me drive you home.
C: I said no, Shawn. Now when I say no, I mean it.
I walk back to the bench and sit down. I let out a sigh before Nick speaks.
"You okay?"
"Yea, just Shawn again." I start playing with my fingers.
"Hey," he pauses and I look at him. "Shawn is an ass, you don't need to listen to him." Nick said like I didn't know already.
"I know." I answer. We sit still for a moment until I break the silence.
"I'm going to go home." I start getting up but..
"Wait..," he paused. "I'll drive you."
"No it's okay, I can walk. I mean, what are legs for?" I answered, pointing to my legs. He just smiled and I smiled back.
"Text me when you get home so I know you made it alright." Nick says and I nod as I start walking home.
When I get home I plop on the couch and sigh. I did a lot of thinking on the way home and to be honest, I think I like Nick...
Oh no.. what am I going to tell Jake?
