We all ran outside to see a strange fire burning with nothing to burn from. It was just a dancing flame. When the guys tried to get near it, it pulsed dangerously.

"What is it?" Shaggy asked from his and Scooby's hiding spot behind me.

"I don't know. Some kind of magic."

"So you're not doing this?"

"Nope." Suddenly there was a disembodied laugh, a flash from the fire, and it diminished to nothing. I moved forward to the ground where the fire was at. The energy was slightly still present.

"What was that?" Cat asked. No one could answer. "I wasn't you was it..." He started to say but was cut off by Starchild coughing. The four of them looked at me.

"What?"

"Nothing!" Starchild said quick. "Nothing. Don't worry." They walked out of earshot.

"Hmm." They were hiding there powers

"What was that about?" Shag asked.

"They're hiding their powers from me. They still think I'm in the dark about KISSteria and everything remember?" I looked at him.

"Oh right!" He realized.

"Rhat makes sense." Scoob said. Shag and Scooby kept talking while I looked back at KISS. They were still talking quietly to each other. Suddenly Shaggy and Scoob went silent.

"Shag? Scoob?" I turned toward them to see them looking toward the end of the walkway. I saw a creature that kind of looked like a wolf made of...vines and wood? "What in the world?" I started to go toward it.

"Jewelie, what are you doing?" Shag asked.

"Come on Shag. We need to see what it is."

"But what about KISS? Don't they need to come?"

"Shag we'll be fine. Come on."

"Okay." The three of us ran toward the wolf. It took off too. We chased it out of the Village and into the actual park. The park wasn't deserted but only a few people remained. The wolf was out of sight.

"Where did it go?" Scoob sniffed the air. A light caught my attention.

"There!" The wolf was standing just in the ally just across from us.

"Ruff!" We took off again. We enter the ally to find nothing.  We slowed to a walk.

"Where did it go now ?" Shaggy asked.

"I don't know." We looked around for clues. I noticed a paw print in a patch of dirt. I examined it and there was some green specs in the print.

"Hey Shag?" No answer. "Shaggy?" Nothing. "Really dude..." I turned to see the guys were gone. "Shaggy? Scooby? Where'd you go?" I saw an opening and went through only to see the dancing flame again. It pulsed toward me. I deflected it from me. It stalled for second, like it was thinking. It then pulsed and expanded faster then I could react. It hit me and I blacked out.

Catman's POV

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to almost let it slip." I said.

"That was close." Spaceman looked at me.

"It's fine but what's important is what that flame was. It wasn't you, Demon?" Starchild looked to Demon. He shook his head.

"Nope. I didn't, I mat breathe fire but I can't create it any other way."

"Did anyone notice how trained Jewelie was on the fire?" Spaceman piped up. "She was, it seemed, attracted to it."

"I did notice that." I said. I looked in the direction we left the three. I did a double take. They were gone. "Guys."
