chapter #3 new love?

After what felt like an eternity in the chariot Lilly and Meredith were entering the kingdoms grounds. Meredith closes all the curtains and was starting to put a very thick veil on her head. 
"why are you putting a veil on my head?" Asked Lilly
"their tradition is to not see their new queen until the wedding ceremony" said Meredith
Lilly sighed and crossed her arms. Once the chariot reached the castle she was let out and she saw the doors of the palace. Lilly let in a big gulp and walked in with Meredith, inside she saw an older man and a younger man about Lilly’s age,
"you must be the daughter of King Arccmoore" the older man said with a bow “I am Johnathan Netherrim, king of this land and this is my son, Eric.”
"it’s an honor sir." Lilly said with a curtsy
The young man next to him bowed, “it is a pleasure to meet you princess.”
Lilly scoffed and turned to the king
Lilly curtseyed "thank you sir, and if you don’t mind me asking, where might my chambers be? This veil is getting rather uncomfortable"
Johnathan smiled and nodded to a man behind Lilly to lead her to her chambers. Once lilly entered the room she spun around in awe. The ceiling was very High up and painted to look like the night sky with vibrant blue and bright dots, the walls are a white marble with gold vines going up the corners of the room and to the ceiling there were more gold vines wrapping around the pillars, the floor was a lovely dark oak that lead into the washing chambers which had a large bath in the ground and many different scented soaps and perfume. Lilly walked to the window and opened the glass doors and walked onto the balcony, she could see the whole kingdom and the luscious garden.
"Lilly what are you doing out there? Your dress with get dirty"
Lilly spun around and saw Meredith 
"this place is beautiful! And the king is nice, the garden is very beautiful and open!" Lilly said
Lilly hadn't noticed Meredith sitting her down in the chair in front of the large mirror. Lilly stopped talking and watching Meredith redoing her hair but this time in a bun with a braid wrapped around it. Lilly smiled and was changed into another dress, it was a loose green satin dress. As Lilly was about to walk out the door Meredith grabbed her arm and put the veil back on her. 
"how will I eat in this?" Asked Lilly
"you put your fork under the veil sweetie." Meredith said gently
A knock was on the door. Meredith opened the door and the Man from before Bowed
"excuse my interruption madam, the king wanted me to inform you that supper is ready." He said
Lilly smiled, "thank you can you please lead me to the eating hall?" Lilly asked 
The man nodded and walked to the hall, Lilly followed and Held Meredith's hand. They made it to the room and Lilly was sat Next to Meredith who was sitting on the left side of Johnathan. The woman sitting to his right side must have been the queen. 
"hello Lilly, I am Agatha jonathans wife" she said in a calm voice
Lilly looked at her "hello, you are very beautiful"
Agatha blushed slightly and the king looked at her lovingly, the food was brought out to them. they started to eat when the doors opened and the prince walked in with a small child. Lilly looked at them.
"hello mother" Eric said kissing Agatha’s Cheek "and hello father" he said slapping his hand on Johnathan’s back. 
"you’re Late Eric and Adam why are you so late" he said shooting a glare at the boy
"well I was with Eric because he promised to teach me how to shoot a bow" he said looking at the ground.
Lilly looked at Eric and was taking in his handsome appearance, His jaw looked strong and his eyes are a very dark green, his hair was black and went to the middle of his ears. Meredith kicked Lilly’s shin to get her back to reality.
"well young sir, Lilly here knows how to shoot a bow with her eyes closed and get a beautiful shot" said Meredith
Adam looked at lilly with wide eyes and sat next to her. Lilly looks at him and smiles. 
"Is that true" said Adam
"I wouldn’t say I was good or bad but I can show you how if you want." said Lilly
Eric sat across from Lilly and began to eat his supper. Lilly kept getting glances of Eric in between bites. 
"so Lilly, my father has told me a lot about you from the Letters your father sent us.” Eric said
"is it true you trained with your soldiers when you were young?"
Lilly nodded not trying to pay him any attention. 
Adam pulled Lilly close to him and smirked, "Eric is terrible at sword fighting, can you teach him? He needs it" he whispered
Eric shot him a glance of warning. Lilly giggled and went back to eating her food. After supper Lilly and Meredith walked to her chambers and lilly got into her night dress and went under the covers. 
"Lilly what do you think of prince Eric?" Meredith asked 
Lilly rolls over so her back is to Meredith, "hes not my type, i don’t see myself being married to him,"
Meredith smiles and kisses lilly on her forehead.
“love comes over time, just try and be nice to him”
Lilly rolls her eyes and falls asleep.
