Lilly shoots up from her bed breathing heavily. Beads of sweat going down her face.
"Are you ok Lilly?" Eric asks with an extremely groggy voice.
"I'm fine, just the image of my father hanging there."
Eric pulls her into a hug, "you're fine." He whispers, "I'm here for you."
Lilly's shaking hands start to clam. She wakes up and the sun is in the middle of the horizon. She does her normal daily routine and goes to the library. She stares at the book that she read Johnatha before he passed. Lilly's hand glides across the leather edge of the book. She closed her eyes and thinks back to his smile when she reached his favorite parts of the story and how he would say what he remembered with her. Lilly opens the book to the page they left off on. She starts to read the story.
"I see you've got your nose stuck in a book." A voice said with a slight chuckle.
Lilly looks up and sees Eric standing there.
"I just thought I should finish this story." She said without looking up," he really enjoyed this and I wanted to see how it ends."
Eric smiles then sits next to her.
"This part was his favorite." He said softly.
They both read the story and recall memories of Johnathan. Adam runs into the room and hides behind the couch Lilly and Eric were sitting on.
"What's wrong Adam?" Eric asked with concern
"Mom is home and she is mad." Adam said with a shaky voice.
