Chapter 7: Zeek POV

I'm sat with my brothers watching the end another Avengers movie, I look around with a frown its been two and half hours and Mike never came back, its getting dark outside and I know Winter has eating nothing but what she had in the car this morning because Mike told us she's not been eating like she should.

And that Winter has been hiding sleeping pills as well as some pain pills from him or so he believes I did suggest we search her room but it did not go over so well maybe in time she will not have to hide.

"I'm going to check on Mikey and the girl," I say to the room as I stand up and stretch.

"Just don't scare her you, Russians have no personal boundaries and the GIRL needs space," Phoenix glares at me, I have plenty of boundaries' I am not a Russian caveman I glare back without saying it.

"I just knock on the door and check, ok," I smile as I leave the room, shaking my head Phoenix is already protective of the girl, he has known some of her pain we all have.

I walk up the step and see the landing door is open a little, its a rule we always shut doors because its a big house, lots of drafts and doors slamming. I open the door and close it softy behind me.

When I first moved in with Phoenix and his Mum, Jane, that was one of the first thing I learned to close door softly after Jane was taking laundry down and jumped when I slammed the door and she lost her footing and fell, she was ok but after that I never slammed a door again.

I reach her door and note this one is to open a little, I give it a soft push and look into the dark room, I turn the dimmer light down and flick on the light.

Mike is snoring softy in and old beat up chair, when the movers came with it I told Phoenix to just throw away and we would buy her new one, but Phoenix text Fox and Fox said it was her fathers and not to throw it away so there he sits.

My gaze drifts to the unmade empty bed I open the door further listing for the sound of the shower but the bathroom door is open and the light is off, I open the closest same just darkness, closing it softly i check under the bed, empty and I'm starting to panic where has the girl gone.

"Mike, Mike wake up," I say as I knock his arm he snorts then opens his very tried eyes he looks like one of the zombies out of the movies Jax likes to watch.

"What's up man?" he says through a yawn, I feel bad for waking him.

"Where is the girl?" I ask as I take another look around the empty room, hoping she just pops out from somewhere.

"What, girl?" he rubs his neck and then bolts straight up looking around before running to the bathroom, "Shit, fuck, shit, how long was I up here."

"More than two hours, how long where you asleep," I ask crossing my arms over my chest as Mike paces back and forth.

"I think just after Jett left," he says followed by another set of curses, "We have to find her."

We both bolt down the stairs and explain to the boys what happening everyone bolts into action, Jett is a bit of a computer wiz and has installed some of the best security in the country for us, which also means he can access the security system from his phone and see which if any outer doors have been opened and also check the camras all over the house.

As Phoenix and Mike run to check all the rooms in the house, me and Jax wait for Jett to the link to the feed, I'm hoping the girl has styed in the house but hope never got me any where before, in Russia it could get you killed.

"Inner pool door was opened half an hour after I came down and the outer back door a few minutes later," Jett says still tying away on his phone.

"Blyad (fuck), ok Jett stay here, Jax check the front in case she went all the way around, I will check the maze keep your phones on and ring if you find her otherwise keep the line clear," I bark as I run toward the back of the house with Jax right on my heals.

We run through both doors I nod to Jax who takes of running as I run straight to the middle of the maze, once i arrive I see no one just the fish, which I hope someone has fed today but by the way they are coming up to the surface no one ha been out here to feed them.

I shake my head, fuck the fish, I take off running again in my haste I hit more than a few dead ends before coming out of the other side by the gardens and I breath a sigh of relief when I see the gate is open.

Non of my brothers would have left it open and this girl seems to like leaving doors open where ever she goes, I slow to a walk I know she is jumpy and I don't want to scare her she could have gotten lost or frightened.

As the sun sets over the tress in front of me I walk through the gate and I meet the most beautiful sight I have ever seen, the girl is sitting on the swing I built curled up so small compared to me asleep the last of the suns beams setting behind her making her hair look like flames in the wind.

She almost looks unreal and I'm to shocked to move but she shivers in her sleep wrapping her arms around herself and I snap out of it I pull my phone from my pocket snap a quick picture before walking toward her.

"Winter, wake up," I say softly she stares a little before settling, "slabyy svet, (little light) wake up now."

She slowly open the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen they seem to glow like orbs of pure ice while her hair is like fire and shoot, she studies me for a moment before blinking and moving right back against the seat, shit she afraid of me.
