Chapter 17: Jax POV

We wait for over half an hour before Phoenix calls it quits and starts breakfast, I wonder what Winter is playing at she told him she would come down he looks so deflated Fox looks worried as does my twin while Zeek well sometimes you can never really tell what hes thinking that guy has a great poker face.

"Will you take this plate up to Winter?" Phoenix, plops a plate down in front of Fox who nods before leaving the room.

"So what happened to Mike last night?" I ask, I have been wanting to now since I found out he didn't come home last all I now is he went home with some chick.

"A lot, he did about twenty shots before going home with some skank," he says scrunching his nose up a little, me and Jet sit there stunned for a moment he has never called a women a skank or anything for that matter before, she really most have been something.

"Wow ok, and what happened after that?" Jet mummers, something happened it took them ages to get home.

"We went to the police station Ryan left Mike a letter on my car," even his voice sounds worried, "He said he's coming for her."

"Wait Ryan as in the one who killed her parents?" god I hope I'm wrong I need to be wrong about this.

"Where is the letter now?" Jet asks looking stressed, he will not ever lay another hand on her, not ever.

"Its at the police station, but we got a picture of it," he mummers handing Jet the phone as he reads his face looks more and more angry before he hands me the phone.

I read it quickly this guy is one sick puppy and there is no way Winter would ever go with him she would die first I know that much we have to upgrade everything.

"I know, what your thinking I called in some support," he says looking pained, who the hell would he call no one at the collage really knows us sure me know people but not many and none I would let near Winter.

"Who?" I say as he looks down at the floor, he can't mean, why would they even come back here its been two no three years.

"Riley and Wyatt are coming home," he says as he dumps his full plate of food in the bin before slumping into his seat, "And I hired the best security team to walk the grounds there going to stay in the old pool house, they are not to approach Winter unless she is in danger.

"Why did you ask them?" I say things are going to be hard enough without the history of what happened between them and Phoenix.

"Because you know as well as I do they are trained killers, Navy Seals for almost two years now who better to protect her, if not them," he sighs running a hand throw his hair.

"How did you even get them to come back here?" Jett says looking as shocked as I feel I can't believe this out two lost brothers are coming home but are we ready for the shit storm that may hit when it does.

"I rang them late last night, I have been keeping tabs on them, making sure there ok, I knew they got out of the Navy two months ago and I told them about Winter and that shit who is after her they agreed to come for her and Mike," he sigh and I know he's leaving something out something they said but I wont push.

"Maybe its time they came home," Jett says looking thoughtful I know they still speak almost every week they wouldn't talk to me because I took Phoenix side after everything but I miss them we made our family what it is and they are missing peace's.

"I think your right," Phoenix adds before filling the sink, maybe I want them home I do but I don't think Winter could handle the fighting.

"I just hope we can handle the fall out," I mummer pushing food around my plate I no longer feel hungry but I eat it anyway the air is filled with tension as a usually happy Fox walks back into the room.

"What's wrong?" I say as he sits down on the stool across from me with a frown on his face.

"Winter, she just different now, I don't know how to help her," he says looking about as lost as I do when it comes to her, I am not that great at people but girls usually are easy they want to talk to me, hang around they like what they see, but Winter she really sees me.

Like the other day when she said I have sad eyes no one notices except the guys, shit I have never even had a serious girlfriend just girls who are friends that I sometimes sleep with and in walks a broken girl with a big heart she hides behind her walls and yet she sees me.

"Together we will find away," I say and he lifts his head with a small smile before eating all the food on his plate.

"Find away to do what?" Mike stumbles though the door looking like shit.

"Wow man good night?" I ask and he glares at me though bright red rimmed eyes.

"What happened with the.....girl?" Phoenix says just catching himself before he really put his foot in it.

"Nothing really I went back to her place she tried to take off my pants and," he stops looking sheepish, "I throw up on her and passed out she woke me up and hour ago and told me to get the hell out."

I burst into laughter no fucking way, but from what the guys said he was better off without her in his pants anyway, Zeek comes in with a yawn and drops himself in to the chair.

"Mike we all need to talk," Phoenix says as he slumps back on to the stool.

He fills Mike in on what happened with Winter last night, before moving on to what happened at the bar and then the police station.

"Fuck, maybe I should take her and run, I have the money my parents left, we could go to anouther country until hes cauaght, I can't and I won't let him near my sister again, never again!" he shouts, he wonts to move her again, it may be an even bigger risk to take her away, she needs somewhere stable to recover with a good surport system.

"Mike I called Riley and Wyatt there coming home for you for her," Phoenix sighs as Mike stops dead in his tracks.

"Why?" he states the big black shadows under his eyes look worse today.

"Because they want to help her," he says looking toward the celling I wonder how Winter will take to, two more men as big and as scary as Zeek.

"I don't know what to do," Mike sighs rubbing the back of his neck, "This is to much to ask of you guys."

"No, no its not we are family and family sticks together right?" Phoenix says banging his fist loudly on the table.

"Right, we stay and find away to keep her safe," he says and a round of agreements are heard including from me.

I hope for all of shakes we can help Winter and maybe stop ourselves from losing our hearts, because mine is wanting hers more than it should and I see the same thing in all of my brothers and when Mike finds out he may just kill us.
