I eat my dinner in silence my head is filled with questions, what happened in the garden, how did Zeek of all fucking people get close to her, I mean sure he's good looking even I know that, I've seen girls throw themselves all over him for years and he never even got close to one before Winter.

And her eyes good her eyes hold so much fucking pain, much like all of ours but hers is so raw and so close, her eyes call to me, no her soul calls to mine and they way she could tell us apart, how the fuck did she do that.

I watch her pick at her food, she's eating but not nearly enough, I look around the table everyone has there eyes on her as she moves food around her plate but Mike looks more relaxed then he did so she must be doing something right.

After the plates are cleared I sit back down wondering what we are doing, I think everyone is wondering what to do know, Winter stands as Mike walks in and she wraps her arms around his middle.

He stands still mouth gaping open, he slowly looks down at the small girl around his middle, he smiles as tears fill his eyes and he wraps her into a bear hug and everyone just sits still afraid to move.

She pulls away slowly Mike looks down at her and her voice is tiny, "Goodnight Mikey." before running off out the door and up the stairs.

Mike looks at Zeek who is leaning on the wall just watching, Mike across the room in seconds, shit is he going to hit him but as the words sound inside my head, Mike wraps Zeek in a hug patting his back and I hear Jett and Phoenix let out a breath.

"What ever you said thank you," he says, the emotion in his voice is so raw, you can taste it in the air.

"What, what I do?" Zeek says patting Mike on the back.

"Winter has not hugged me since the say she woke up not really, twice at the most and she never came to me for one," he says stepping back and smiling at Zeek.

"What you say to her man?" I can't help but ask we where all worried about evening breathing near her and yet Zeek got close within ten minutes.

"She was scared of me, I told her he could trust me," he smiles as if its that simple I look over to Jett who mirrors my own what the fuck face.

"Ok start again tell us bit but bit what happened," I say slowly so I know he understands the smug git winks at me before launching into his story.

He explains how scared Winter looked, how he could see the hurt in her eyes as he slowly moved toward her and then he tells us he looked straight in her eyes and told her she could trust him and that he would never hurt her.

He says she looked at him for a long, long time before she gave in and he says some of the well built walls come down around her and than again when he came in and touch her back he calmed her.

"Well fuck all this time I just needed a Russian to explain it simple," Mike laughs some of the weight visibly lifting away from his shoulders.

"Da she is strong, she just did not know yet she is survivor," he smiles and nods his head like that is that and everything will be fine.

Not long after we all head to bed Mike even has a smile on his face, I'm the last to go up after setting the alarms and getting some water, I decide to check Winter's door, her door is closed so I put my ear to the door not wanting to wake her but I can hear her whimpering, crying softly.

I knock on the door and weight but no answer I turn the knob and peer into the darkness the black curtains around the bed are open and she's thrashing around on the middle of the bed.

I run to her side and touch her hair softly, she whimpers, tears steam down her cheeks and her face is red, sweet drips down her forehead, what do I do, do I wake her.

"Its ok Winter, your ok no one can hurt you," I whisper in her ear, brushing the hair away from her face as she whimpers but her moments stop and her hands let go of the sheets, "No one can hurt you where right here, right here with you sweet girl no more."

She stops crying her breathing evens out and she sighs, her whole body seems to relax into the sheet she has thrown over her and the pain in her face drifts away as I brush her red locks from her face.

I wait a few minutes before heading to the door, but as soon as I stop touching her. the pain appears back in her face as she fights her dreams once more.

"Fuck it," I sigh as I pull the ugly chair closer to the bed I sit down and put her hand in mine and whisper to her softly she relaxes again, she turns and lies her head on my own and that's it right there I know I'm done for.

I watch her sleep for a while before I prop my feet up on the bed and close my eyes, she's still lying on my arm fast asleep, a soft smile on her face. I can't help but think I wouldn't mind spending every night like this forever as I drift off into sleep.
