Chapter 1 The Beginning

The cold weather was starting to kick in, the trees had lost their green color, as the leaves turned a pretty orange and red.

I sat by my window staring out at the tree of my back yard as the last leaf fell on the ground joining the rest, as if they had life and wanted to join the rest of their leaf friends.

Truth was I was afraid.. afraid my last year at school would turn into a disaster, I felt as if I should have graduated years ago.. but somehow was trapped, held within the passage of time.

"Do you want scrambled eggs with bacon or toast?" Mother asked with a smile looking at me walk down the stairs while she cooked.

"I'll just have bacon" I simply stated.

"Oh come on hun you need to eat more, just look at you, you are so thin."

I laughed slightly, "well wouldn't that make me look more attractive to guys?" She looked at me and raised a brow, "what do you mean?"

I rolled my eyes, obviously she didn't get it, she never really understood my Humor, well that or it just might have been that I didn't have humor at all.

Some of my friends had even told me I look more casual then a joyful person, I cringed at the thought, that's not my style.

"Mom.. " Mother looked at me with her blue eyes that shown in the sun, which the light reflected on them.

I always wondered if I was even her daughter since my eyes were silver, yet my hair was black similar to hers.. maybe it came from my father's side, but I couldn't quite figure that out since my father had died in a plane crash before I was born.

"What should I do if people find out about.. you know.."

"They can't unless you control your power hun, has it gotten out of control?"

I shook my head knowing I was lying, my power had grown.. it grew every time I lost my temper, but I couldn't help it.. I couldn't help the urge to use it, it usually happened if I was angered or had the sudden urge of emotion like joy as humans call it.

"Miss Erendel Emery.. " I glanced at the teacher who now stared at me waiting for my answer.. "Well.. Angel falls is the highest uninterrupted waterfall on the world, with the longest drop of 807 meters, it's height is 979 meters and it is a hundred and fifty meters wide at the base which also meets with the river kerep."

Mr. Yuro looked at me in surprise "I'm glad you're studying that shows how everyone should follow your example." He said out loud to catch everyone's attention.

Everyone stared at me, as if I was some kind of freak, some mostly glaring in my direction.. what could I say.. I knew most things of the earth then most of the people living on it, hell I even knew things, that people hadn't discovered yet.

With a nod I caught a glimpse of the new student looking at me, his eyes two different colors, his left eyes a green while his right eye was blue. He studied me, I looked away ignoring it, feeling the slightest feeling of something strange when I looked into his eyes, but I ignored it not taking it much notice.

The bell finally ranged as the students grabbed their bags to head out to their last class.

I stood up walking out of the class, I kept mostly to myself I didn't have any friends to talk with, so it wouldn't matter to deal with anyone, unless If that person was Deven.

The only person who I had known was Deven, Deven used to date me we had a past before I turned to the person I am now, I grew distant from him because of his lack of behavior. He loved to show off, mostly cheat or maybe even rape which he had done to me when we first met.

"Eren" I froze and winced at the voice I didn't want to here, it was him.. Deven... he was looking down at me with that ugly smudged smirk on his face I hated the most.

"What do you want?" I said holding myself from snapping at him.. his smirk only grew wider while he stared down at me, "why don't you come and meet me over for a while?"

I laughed bitterly, who did he think he was? Trying to be that "bad boy" again with me?

"Uh no why would I do that?"

His face flushed and I could sense anger build up within him "come on Erendel I know you like it when I do this.. he smacked my butt cheek.

I hissed in anger pushing him back "you!.. " I was cut off by some of Deven's groupies who laughed until Deven dared to push me down making me fall.

"Leave her alone... "
