Chapter 5: Left Alone

"I got you.. Erendel.. I'll be here for you always.. "

"Eren wake up.. "

Opening my eyes I looked up at mother standing beside my bed as a single silent tear rolled down my cheek onto my shirt.

Sitting up I wiped the tear away from my cheek to meet mother's gaze, "was it the same dream?"

She asked worriedly eyeing me, I nodded in silence, though I couldn't quite remember it now I could clearly picture a boy holding a baby wrapped in a blanket as he ran out of a house.

What could it mean?

I looked at Roan still watching me with a worried look on her face,"who was that child.. Mother?"

Her face expression became serious her eyes still fixed on me, "I'm not sure what that dream means hun it was probably a random dream, everyone has them including our kind."

Looking away from her I sighed softly, running my fingers through my dark hair in annoyance. "Why did you wake me up?"

"I thought you might have wanted to go for a walk."

looking up at her I felt guilty, I was taking my anger on her over a dream when it wasn't even her fault.. I nodded, "Okay" I finally said forcing a smile on my face, "Good in that case I have work today, make sure to take good care of the place when I get back."

Standing beside her I gave her a hug "I love you.. be safe" her lips curled into a smile "Don't worry about me" I nodded, but somewhere deep inside I had a feeling something was going to happen, like a weird feeling people have that something bad was going to happen.

"Be careful. " I said once again, now watching as Roan turned to walk away stepping into her car and closing the door behind her.

with a last wave she gave, she drove off turning the corner and disappearing out of sight.

"Hello" I stopped to look at the little girl, her voice as soft as a whisper.."hello.. " I replied turning my body to examine her carefully, she was pale as if someone had drained all the blood from her body, her eyes a deep ocean blue, while her hair was a jet black. "I'm Emma" I kneeled down next to her, still sweaty from running, "What are you doing here all alone?" Her blue eyes met mine, "I came for a walk.. With my brother.."

Two pairs of shoes appeared walking to her right, slowly my gaze followed up to meet her brother's gaze, I felt my heart beat against my chest at the sight of him..it was Gabriel, his eyes looking down at me, though with his same usual calm expression on his face.

Emma nudged Gabriel "Go on say hello" I stood up nervously keeping silent "Hello" he finally said which seemed to have taken more then a year.

I eyed him, he was a few inches taller, his dark hair covering his left eye while his gaze didn't seem to leave me. I nodded "I'm Eren.."

Emma smiled "Don't worry I'm always the one who has to force him to talk he doesn't really talk much." I placed my hands in my hoodie pockets, "It's nice to meet both." I finally said with a small smile. "Would you want to join us for a cup of tea?" Emma asked.

I looked at Gabriel who was silent though his gaze was still fixed on me, "sure.." I nodded politely feeling slightly embarrassed for I didn't have the appropriate clothing to wear.
