Chapter 7: My life

The past few days had been so strange to me..Ever since mother had died I had felt alone, as if suddenly I had no one in my life to live for.
"Eren" I looked up to find Jen standing beside my desk looking down at me with a worried look on her face. For once, she looked at me as the same person I had met years back. She didn't seem like the person who came two days ago, she had changed back to herself, that same girl who cared for me as I did for her.
"Are you alright?"
I looked away nodding in silence, even though inside my heart still ached with pain, I missed my mother she was the only thing that kept me going.
"Attention class, we have a new student," I stayed silent not even taking a chance to look up to see who the new student was.
"Apollen"
"Allen.." I said slowly, his name sounding familiar quickly remembering a nick name I used to call someone, but that someone I couldn't remember.
Gabriel's eyes caught my attention, he was looking at Allen, something hidden under that look that made me wonder what it could have been, I looked down staring at the paper that laid neatly on my desk thinking to myself, why.. Why did it seem that Gabriel had so much interest in me? He would always seem to be looking at my direction as if he knew me, whatever it was.. I had to find out.
"Apollen come sit by us."
Isabella stood taking Apollen's hand, her red eyes staring into Apollen's pure blue eyes, Apollen was similar to Gabriel's looks, his hair was black and his skin was a lighter shade of white, though their eyes were different.
Could it be.. that they were related?
I shook my head, nonsense that couldn't be possible, he had just came as a new student.
Deven stopped beside my desk, his hand slowly touching the top of my head "Ah Eren it's such a good thing you came back, I was beginning to miss you."
I glared at him slapping his hand away "What do you want Now deven?" he paused and leaned his face slightly close to mine, his brown eyes meeting my gaze "I heard you're mother passed away 4 days ago, I just wanted to check up on you" He smirked.
I grabbed his hand intending to freezing it before I remembered to stop myself, his blood.. Smelled sweet though bitter in distaste, my eyes widen at the sudden feeling of the craving of blood, this feeling surprised me, yet I hadn't felt it before, ever since I was 3 years old.
Strange how I could suddenly remember this as if I had lived two life's, all I could remember as a child was being born up to the age of three when I had bitten my mother, her blood rich sweet that made me want to taste more.
Till now I had learned to control myself, that day at the hospital when I had seen mother dead covered in blood, I somehow was controlled because something inside me told me I was weak, weak to turn fully into a pure blood, which meant I could loose my birth power.
Ice..
"What's the matter dear, you seem angered" I let go of deven's arm looking away, "Why do you always have to pick on me.. Deven.."
Deven chuckled "You'll understand soon enough hun" he turned to walk away pushing Jen to the side who seemed to have watched Deven with pure hatred the whole time while she stood there beside my desk.
"Why do you let him bother you?" I turned to meet Jen's gaze, "because I'm afraid of him.." I paused, was I truly afraid of Deven? There was something that made me fear him, his look in his eyes whenever he looked at me, that look that seemed to Pearce me down making me feel weak.
Though I knew Deven quit well by the side he shown, there was something I couldn't quite understand, he always seemed to have interest in me as well as Gabriel, but his was different something so lustful.. lustful as in hunger, something craving inside him I couldn't tell.

.The day that my mother had died had my heart ache, but there was nothing I could do now, all I could do was live on my own in the house that my mother had built herself, it was a big house a house you could easily maintain by your self, but it was pretty far from the school I attended, the house was two stories high made of bricks on the outside while the inside was fancy white, the windows covered by fancy curtains that made the inside look welcomed.
The only thing strange about it was that it was hidden in the nearby woods of the city in front of a neighborhood which lead right to the school a few miles away.
What was I to do now? With mother away I would have to become into an adult, the term humans used when they grow up to the age of 18, but I.. Was different. Mother had taught me how to be one without anyone's help, she told me to not be afraid that soon enough I would get use to it.
Mothers funeral would be in two days, the thought about it made me want to cry, because no one would attend since mother had no relatives who cared enough to come, she had wanted to be buried by my father's side, my biological father who I didn't have the chance to meet.
His death was unknown before I was born.
Father had been a full pure blood with ice powers, so I was told. Mother had said father was part of a clan, who I did not know of. The strongest clan of a kind. When father had died, mother had to remarry with James Emory, my step father who I dislike the most.
Jason Emory was my brother, though I didn't know him I knew he lived somewhere far up north with another clan, a clan of his age. He had been mother's favorite and had missed him dearly, but now that mother was dead, I had no idea on how to contact with him.
All I could do now was wait until I was fully graduate, and see what life would become of me..
