Chapter 4: Isabella

"Hi" a girl with red curled hair stood beside Gabriel, her brown eyes studying him while she had a wide smile that reached to each side of her ears.

"I'm Isabella nice to meet you" she said, with a child like tone to her voice.

Gabriel looked up from his book, his colored eyes meeting hers. "Hello" he said simply ignoring her enthusiasm and turning to look back at his book.

"What you reading?" She smirked then stopped shortly to read his book cover.

"psst Eren" I quickly turned away afraid Gabriel would have noticed me watching him.

"what do you want?" I almost hissed at Jen who sat in front of me, Mr. Froncer our math teacher thought it would have been cute if Jen and I sat together since we were close friends.

"could you help me with this question and stop staring at your future bf" she said loud enough to draw some of the students attention.

I felt my face heat up in embarrassment looking away and staring at my paper on my desk "I hate you" I mumbled to Jen.

She laughed giving me her paper with a smirk "Come on Eren you know he would never want a girl like us."

I looked up to meet her gaze then sighed, she was right.. who was I to think that a new good looking guy like him could set eyes on.. a girl like me, not even to the thought he kinda did look mysterious, which I found attractive.

Jen glanced their way eyeing Isabella "leech isn't she?" I held myself from laughing "She's new don't judge her so quickly, besides he doesn't seem interested in her."

"Excuse me" Isabella walked up to me drawing Gabriel's attention on us, her long hair bounced as she walked. "What did you say about me?" I leaned back against my chair to look up at her, tho she was clearly 3 inches shorter then me if I stood beside her "Nothing why?"

Her child like voice made me cringe inside, "You called me leech I heard you perfectly well" I held myself from laughing slightly, I could tell she had no self confidence, for her face was caked with makeup.

"I didn't say anything" I smiled politely then glanced behind noticing Gabriel was still watching us, her hand slammed on my desk making my attention draw back to her, "if I hear you again I'm going to report you." she turned walking away taking a seat next to Gabriel.

Jen burst out laughing in a low voice once she was out of ear shot "that poor child needs some loving."

I shook my head slightly at Jen looking back at my homework.

"Today I'll be picking your partners for a project," Mr. Yuno announced, everyone sighed in annoyance.

History was my favorite subject so it wouldn't be a problem to have someone new for a change, tho I did admit I wanted to do the project alone, it was much more easier if I did it on my own.

The teacher drew out random names from a Jar picking everyone a partner, "Erendel and Deven" I froze.. What? Why him? I frowned looking at Deven who smiled with the same ugly smirk on his face, why did it always have to be him..?

Deven stood sitting beside me, "Hey there smart one" I looked away not answering feeling his hand touch a strand of my hair, "mmm smells like pineapples" he smelled my hair making goosebumps run through my skin.

"Gabriel and Isabella."

The teacher said lastly putting the names back in the jar.

"I'd like everyone to write me 10-20 facts about the Holocaust and JFK."

"sounds like fun" Deven chuckled only creating more goosebumps to appear on my skin, I glared at him then noticed Gabriel looking our way again, I looked away and began to write notes with a sigh, this was going to be a long day.

Finally class had ended. I was relived I survived from Deven, or I would have frozen him on spot, but luckily I didn't.

"Erendel.. " I turned to look behind me, it was him.. Standing there with calmness in his eyes as if there was nothing in the world to worry about, "Gabriel.. " he held out a note book in his hands "you forgot this" I took it silently then looked down "Thank you" he gave a nod then turned to leave.

"That was close."

Jen said startling me, I slapped her arm "Stop doing that!"

"ouch, what was that for?" I looked at her "for scaring me"

She frowned rubbing her arm, "I'm sorry" I sighed, but then smiled at her "don't worry about it."

"Eren" my smile faded watching Deven approach me, his hands in his pockets while a slow smirk grew on his lips.

Deven always had that stupid smirk on his face every time he wanted to bother someone, "Oh look it's Eren."

I looked at him "what is it you want now Deven?" I glared at him annoyed now.

He leaned closer, his face inches from mine while his eyes were fixed on my lips, "you" he said simply before kissing my lips, his kiss was soft yet somehow filled with passion.

My eyes widen pushing him off me, "What are you.. " I was cut off by Gabriel who had came out of nowhere and grabbed Deven by the shirt "let's go" he pulled him walking to the exit of the school's front door while Deven struggled to get loose from his grip.
