Chapter 2 When we met

"Leave her alone.. "

I winced grabbing my arm in pain when I noticed him, the same new student who had looked at me strangely in class.

"Oh look it's seems Eren got herself a new bf"

Deven chuckled.

"I wouldn't be quite so sure brother."

Brother..? Since when did Deven have a brother? he never mentioned him.

"Why do you care Gabriel? you are so cold yourself" He chuckled "an idiot without emotions."

Gabriel had his hands in his coat pockets looking at Deven in silence, his face showing little emotion..

In fact no emotion at all just calmness.

"You should leave her alone.. "

Gabriel glanced at me, "you wouldn't like it now would you? If someone treated you the same way as your actions."

Deven glared at him then looked at me in anger "You belong to me" with that Deven turned and left.

I stood up holding my books in my hands then watched as Gabriel was already walking away.

"Thanks" I mumbled to myself unable to say thank you to him since he was already far away.

My phone vibrated in my pocket, a few messages popped up distracting me from my thoughts.

Jen: I'm coming back for you.

I stopped and blinked twice to reread the message correctly, was this real?  Jen was actually going to come see me?

Jen was my best friend ever since we met. We would always talk and be together like sisters.. She didn't know about my powers until then, one of the reasons she left me because she was mad at me.

"What's in you're mind Eren? You've been silent since you came from school."

"Nothing" I gave mother a  smile making puppy eyes, "I thought you were going to make me your special homemade cheese cake.

I smirked waiting for her reaction.

"Oh but it's to late now dear I called you down for dinner, but you were too distracted reading on your phone those horror stories you like so much."

I nodded, she was right I loved reading..especially if it was horror books.

"so tell me how was your first day at school?"

I smirked "it was really fun I made new friends my first day" I tried not to laugh watching mothers face expression. "why are you talking like a child?"

I raised a brow "isn't that what you wanted to hear mother?" Roan Just shook her head with a smile, "you're silly."

I smiled then looked down remembering Jen's text message "mother Jen texted me today."

"What did she say?"

I paused then looked down in worry, I didn't want to know really why she was going to come back, she did say she was coming back for me, but I didn't know exactly what she meant by that..

"She said she was coming back for me."

Mother looked at me in silence "and? Will you forgive her for leaving you?" I shrugged and sighed, "Idk she has been my friend ever since I was little, I can't really forget she's been there for me."

"She stabbed you in the back when you most needed her now she wants to come back?" I glanced at her, "I'll give her a chance if she does the same then I'll have to leave her."

Mother nodded, "do what you must."
