Hamilsquad X child reader,

There will be glitter.

Completed: 10:33pm 8th of December.

All you were doing was writing a letter, but this was an important letter and it had to be perfect.

So you had to use glitter, tugging on John's jeans you smiled innocently, "can you hewlp me Johnny?" You lisped, laughing to yourself. "Of course kiddo," John would help you with anything you needed.

Even glitter.

"I'm writing Christmas cards!" You said happily, taking his hand and dragging him to the table. John laughed as your face lit up. "I'm making one for grandpa Washington and it has to be really special!" You exclaimed, throwing your arms out to exaggerate your point. "Grandpa Washington, hey? Well maybe we should use glitter."

You nodded eagerly as John got out the glitter and glue. "Hey guys what's hap- oh no." Alex stood with a look of horror on his face as he stared at the two of you using glitter. "Lexi!" You cheered, "we're making grandpa Washington a Christmas card!" Alex laughed and sat down with the two of you. He grabbed a piece of card and started to draw on it.

Soon Lafayette came in, he stared at you all and hesitated, before pulling up a chair and kissing your forehead. "Laffy!" You giggled, "we're making Christmas cards! This is for grandpa Washington. This ones for uncle Thomas and this one is for uncle James!" You said, gesturing proudly to the cards. "Those are amazing!" Said a voice, Hercules was leaning against the door frame smiling.

In sloppy handwriting you wrote "Merry Christmas, love Y/n." In all of the cards. "Maybe you can come to work with me tomorrow so you can hand out the cards." Alex suggested, John nodded. "But for now, food and then bed, you have a busy day tomorrow." Hercules said, the boys left to cook and you dumped a little surprise in all the cards. After all, a little bit of glitter never hurt anyone.

The next morning you woke up early and dressed smartly, you were off to the White House after all. You waited for Alex patiently, cards in one hand, a bag of presents in the other. Alex rushed in the room, he looked around and saw you and sighed as he fed you and got you ready.

You arrived just before, because grandpa Washington liked 'punctual people,' whatever that meant. Alex set you down as he'd been carrying you all the way around. He took your hand and then knelt down to your level. "Okay kid, you know your way around, so when the big hand points to twelve meet me here, okay?" You nodded and hugged him. Then you left, presents and cards in hand.

Finding grandpa Washington was easy, he was in his office. "Grandpa Washington!!" You yelled running to him, he laughed and picked you up, "soldier Y/n!" He exclaimed, swinging you around. You handed him his card and his present. Then hugged him again. "Merry Christmas grandpa Washington!" Washington ruffled your hair. "You too soldier Y/n." You giggled as you saluted him. "I'm gonna go find uncle Tommy and uncle Jimmy!" You laughed, waving to Washington. He waved back and smiled as you left his office.

You found James and Thomas together discussing something. "Uncle Jimmy! Uncle Tommy!" You said, coming in. "Hey Y/n," Thomas said not even looking up. James stood up and knelt down, so you could run into his arms. "Hey there kiddo." He grinned, you handed him his card. "All the others have glitter in, but you're allergic to glitter so you have stickers on yours instead." You whispered, handing him his Christmas present.

You met with Alex and the two of you went to the cabinet meeting, on the table were the presents and cards, unopened. James winked at you and put fingers to his lips. You looked up at Alex. "Can I go sit with uncle Jimmy? Please Lexi?" Alex sighed and then nodded.

You rushed over and James opened his card. Seeing it was safe both Washington and Jefferson opened theirs. Suddenly Thomas had a bright, sparkly, purple chest and Washingtons was blue.

"They're your favourite colours! Now you're all pretty!" You yelled, as both you and James giggled. Glitter wouldn't hurt them.
