Marvin X Whizzer with adopted teen reader X Veronica Sawyer. Bc yus

Modern AU cause it fits.

This is another one of my favourites.

Where Whizzer hasn't died because I cried for ages after listening to the soundtrack. So Yh, then I found the musical on YouTube and I cried even harder. So enjoy this fluff.

Ten years ago if you'd have told Whizzer Brown who was nineteen at the time that he'd be sat with his adopted child and his lovers twelve year old son as his child wrapped Christmas presents and his lovers son played chess with his lover. He'd have laughed at you. He still remembered when they adopted his child.

-----------------------------------------------------------

You looked around at the other children, nervously, two men were coming to adopt today and you so hoped they'd adopt you so you'd be gone and you wouldn't have to worry.

Two men walked in and one was stylishly dressed and the other, well jeez, you felt sorry for the stylish guy, but they seemed to love each other at that's the most important thing.

You were called first because they wanted someone older to cushion having a child and at thirteen you fit the bill.

They looked at you and both of them nodded discreetly, "I'm Whizzer, this is Marvin." stylish man said, you smiled, "Y/n." You told them. Oh boy did they like you.

The interview finished and before you left you looked Marvin in the eyes and said with a straight face, "your tie doesn't match at all and it has been bugging me since I sat down." Then you left. Leaving Whizzer laughing and Marvin staring after you.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Five years ago if you'd have been told that you would have been adopted and get a beautiful girlfriend and supportive friends that helped you through anything you'd have laughed, but there you were, sat wrapping presents even though all of your family celebrated hanukkah, they celebrated Christmas with you and you loved them more for it.

Your phone went and you looked at the caller ID, Veronica. "Hey Ronnie," you said, Whizzer smirked at you and you rolled your eyes. "Hey Y/n, uh my family were wondering if you and your family would like to go ice skating and then out for a meal, because my parents want to meet yours and I'm sorry." You laughed and a smile grew on your face. "Give me a second, hey dad's, you wanna go ice skating and then out to meet Ronnie's parents and Ronnie?" The two considered. "Okay," Marvin said finally, "is three any good at Central Park and then we can get dinner and five?" Veronica asked you, you relayed back the message. You got more nods, "okay, our tree I'm guessing at three, I'll bring your Christmas present."

Veronica cleared her throat, "okay see you then," then she hung up. "We have like two hours so all is good." Marvin said, "well we should head out half an hour before three so we get there on time." You pointed out, standing up and grabbing Whizzer's arm. "Dad come and help me pick an outfit, no offence dad, but I will never trust your fashion judgement."

-----------------------------------------------------------

If you had told Whizzer Brown ten years ago that he'd be watching his adopted child stress over clothes to wear with him for their girlfriend, he'd have laughed in your face, but now? He wouldn't change it for the world.
