December oneshots

12th of December.

Peggy X reader. 

The reader is gender neutral, this is a highschool au and have some other musicals shoved in there. Enjoy.

You shut your locker and heard your old friend annoying some people, you turned and suddenly glared at him. "Jared, stop talking now, it won't help you get friends." You said, smiling at the two people. "Hey, I'm Y/n, I'm sorry if Jared was being horrid, I don't think you're a freak if it means anything, oh hey can I sign your cast?" You asked the boy besides you.  

He nodded mutely going a bright red, holding out his arm. You uncapped a sharpie you had in your pockets and wrote your name with a little star and a 'get well soon,' he smiled and the boy next to you tensed. "Y/n!" You spun round to see your best friend. "Peggy! Hey!" She hugged you and then looked at the boy with the cast. "Can I sign it?" She asked. 

You stood next to Connor and as Jared left you waved happily at him. "I'm Connor, that's Evan, I'm 99% sure I'm in love with the dork in blue." He muttered, turning a light red. "Eh, don't sweat it, I'm 99% sure I'm in love with the dork in yellow." You whispered, grinning. "I've never seen you around." Connor said, you shrugged. "I'm from Sherwood Ohio, I left after some psycho blew up the football field and three seniors died, it was a wild year." Connor laughed and it drew the others attention. 

"HEY THE FREAKS GOT FRIENDS!" Someone yelled, "HEY," you yelled back, "THE ASSHOLE HAS EYES AND NO FRIENDS!" Connor, Evan and Peggy all looked at you and laughed. "You okay Con?" Evan asked, Connor nodded through laughter. He started talking to Peggy and Evan.

You heard a familiar tap of footsteps and looked up. "Michael!" You called, the boy threw his arm around you and handed you a slushie. "Y/n, ma buddy, how's it hanging? Lunch is banging! Had my sushi got my slushie and more!" He sang, you smiled and rolled your eyes. "The roll was negimaki and I'm feeling kinda cocky 'cause the girl at Sev' Elev' gave me a generous pour!" 

You heard a familiar laugh and a short sigh. "You're listening to Bob Marley again, aren't you?" Jeremy laughed. "Oh hey look, Jeremy's heere," you said, Jeremy rolled his eyes. "Oh, I'm listening to Marley and the groove is hella gnarly and we're almost at the end of this song." He started to bounce a little. "Yeah, that was the end, he took off his headphones and hooked them around his neck. "Now tell me friend how was class? You look like ass! What's wrong?" 

You sighed and looked between them. "Pegs," you whispered. "It's all good! Hey, I saw on Discovery that humanity has stopped evolving!" Both you and Jeremy shared a confused look. "That's... good?" Jeremy asked, Michael nodded enthusiastically.

"Evolution's 'Survival of the Fittest', right? But now, because of technology, you don't have to be strong to survive! Which means there's never been a better time in history to be a loser! Ha! So own it! Why try to be cool when you could be..."

Jeremy grinned. "Signing up for the play!" He said, Connor, Evan and Peggy were looking at you by now. "Michael was gonna say getting stoned in his basement." You said, Michael nodded at you all. "I was gonna say getting stoned in my basement." He said, Connor nodded, "I'm down if you need some more," Michael grinned.

Peggy suddenly grabbed your wrist and pulled you away from them all. "Hey, uh Y/n, I'm not good at, um feelings and shit." She sighed and looked you straight in the eyes. "I really like you." You grinned and kissed her cheek. "Well I really like you two." 

"HELL YASSS! THEY DID IT THEY'RE TOGETHER." 

"CAN IT ALEX!"
