-Soarin Skys POV-

-Awhile before-

I ran calling Rainbows name but she didn't even spare a glance. “Man this girl is fast.” I said as I struggled to keep up.

She continued to get farther away from me but I didn't stop running. After she disappeared from my view, I relied on my ears to hear her sobs. Then I heard a whimper of pain and I slowed carefully following the sound.

I eventually found her crying in an alleyway and I saw blood all over her clothes. The whimper must have been when she cut herself. I had a flashback to when I was in this state.

-Flashback Start-

I had recently lost my mother as my career as a model kicked off. I had been mistreated by lots of kids at school and now that my mother was gone, the pain was doubled. Cuts were all over my arms and I was making more. I felt so alone. All I wanted was for someone to give a hug and tell me everything was ok.

-Flashback End-

I looked at the crying girl right in front of me and did the only thing that I saw fit in this situation. I hugged her.

I felt her arms wrap around me and I continued to hug her rubbing her back in circles. I wanted to say something but felt that it was best to stay silent for now.

I felt her tears soaking into my jacket and I knew that I'd need to explain the blood to my father later. But all that mattered now was my Rainbow. My Dashie. My Princess.

After quite a while she looked at me with her foggy eyes and I saw years worth of pain behind them. She went back to crying and I hugged her tighter knowing she needed it.

Another good amount of time passed till she looked at me again. “Why.” was all she said. That one word asked a lot of questions. Like, why do you care? Why are you hugging me? Why did you run after me?

I found a good answer for all of them in one sentence. “Because… I used to be the same way as you.”

I saw confusion written all over her face but I knew that now was not the time to explain. “Come on. We should get you home. Big day tomorrow. And you won't want to be late and give her a reason to hate on you.”

She nodded slowly and I helped her up. I looked at the time, “It's 10:30. What time do you need to be home?”

“Eleven. My house shouldn't be too far from here. I'll show you the way.”

I nodded and helped her stay upright. She was exhausted from all the crying and I was willing to help her. She pulled her sleeves back over the cuts and I didn't mind. If she wanted to hide it, I won't force her to tell anyone.

We reached her home at 5 after 11 and I knocked on the door for her. A oranged haired girl with that same shade of blue skin as Rainbow opened the door, I supposed she was Rainbows mother.

At first she seemed angry but then she saw her daughter that looked, and was, really weak, and was covered in blood and worry took over. “Oh my sweet Rainbow! What happened to her!?”

I was thinking about how to explain the weak look and blood all over us the whole way over here and found one that seemed reasonable, it started with truth, but then came the lie. “I was doing a photoshoot in the park and the photographer asked her to pose with me. She joined us for dinner and then I started to walk her home. That's when she got attacked by some jealous fangirls. I was able to get them away but not before they did some damage. Can I bring her in?”
