I groaned waking up on Saturday morning. Wonder if something good will happen. Doubt it.
I woke up the rest of the way sitting up and was shocked to see fake autumn leaves decorating my room. “Who would…” I stopped when I saw a letter on top of my alarm.
Curious, I opened it not even flinching at my new paper cut, to see a strange letter.
“Good Morning Princess, Hope you had a good night's sleep my beauty. You're probably curious of why your room is covered in leaves. To find out, meet me where we first hung out. But don't forget breakfast beforehand. I made sure your parents prepared something extra special for you.
Soarin Skies”
I looked at the letter curiously wondering what he had planned this time.
Shrugging, I put on my normal outfit and went down stairs. I ate slowly till I saw an opportunity to stop and threw it away hoping they wouldn't notice and ran off the park getting rid of what I ate on the way.
When I came I saw that it was empty. I walked around till I saw a note of a tree.
“You're getting warmer! But not quite there yet. This park is much bigger than people think. It is near the edge of the city after all. Keep on going! When you see a trail of yellow ribbons, you'll know your on the right track.”
My curiosity was at its peak as I went deeper into the park. Or was it a forest. I'm not sure anymore.
Finally, I saw yellow ribbons tied to the trees marking a clear path. I quickened my pace then found I was in a clearing with Soarin standing by a lake with a big smile on his face.
"Glad you made it!"
"Soarin, what's going on?" I knew he was planning something and I was slightly scared of what it could be.
He pointed to the other side of the lake where I saw people holding letters to spell "WILL YOU GO TO THE FALL FORMAL WITH ME?"

My eyes went wide and I looked at Soarin. He wants to go with me? No. Don't be silly. It's probably just some Dare or something. “Soarin, I don't know what to say.”
“Say yes.” He said all smoothly.
I stayed silent for a moment. He probably would want to go with someone else. “Can I think about it?”
He smiled forcefully, “I guess it's not a no.” he kissed my cheek. “You can text me as soon as you decide. Ok?”
I nodded with a small smile. Don't worry. You don't need to go through with this dare. . .
