I'm hot. Very hot. The cause is Dimitri who has wrapped his arms tightly around my waist and is practically asleep half on top of me, our legs intertwined. His head is tucked into the crook of my neck, his breath warm tingling my skin.
Despite our activities last night we slept fully clothed, well nearly fully clothed, in the chance that someone walked in wondering where we had gone. Not being naked hopefully gave the impression we had gone to bed on the pure intention of sleeping.
I look at our position trying to find a way to escape without waking Dimitri but it seems unlikely. I wouldn't have minded the position if I wasn't so bloody hot. Looking across at the alarm clock on the bedside table I see why. It's eleven in the morning and the sun is high in the sky, shining directly at us through his window.
I turn back to the gorgeous Russian man lying in my bed and run my fingers up and down his bare back. The grooves of his muscles raise and lower with his breathing. God, even his back is ridiculously attractive.
He stirs from my touch and tightens his arms around me, nuzzling further into my neck. Great the exact opposite reaction to the one I wanted.
"Comrade," I say softly, pressing harder into his back. He doesn't respond, so I mutter it again.
I think he is still asleep until I notice the slight flutter in his eyelids. He is pretending the asshole. I run my hand back up to his neck once more before taking my hand all the way down to squeeze his butt under his pyjama pants. "Comrade," I say warningly.
Dimitri smirks and kisses my neck "Did you want something, Roza?"
"I'm hot" I declare gesturing to his body on mine.
"Yes. You are." He teases knowing full well what I really mean without the double meaning.
"And so are you." I squeeze again "But that's not what I meant."
"I know." He kisses my temple "But I don't want to let you go yet."
"If you don't let me go I am going to overheat." He lets go of my waist and throws the blankets that were half hanging on our bodies to the disregarded side of the bed before he snuggles into me again.
"All fixed." He says softly, his breath tickling my neck once more.
I sigh and nudge his face away from my neck with my shoulder "You're incorrigible." But I still love you.
"Big words Roza. Maybe you did learn something in school after all."
His head was back against my neck again but I let it happen. "You and I both know that I didn't"
"True." I felt his warm breath on my neck as he laughed. Annoyed at his agreement, I pinch his ass hard and let out the certain phrase Sonja taught me. In a flash Dimitri was on top of me, my head trapped in the cage of his arms. "Where did you learn that?"
I only smirked in reply, happy to have gotten the intended reaction out of him.
He looked at me warningly "Rose?"
"Let us just say a member of your family isn't as opposed to me knowing a little more Russian than you are." I ran both my hands up his back and wrapped them around his neck. I know he isn't really mad, in the years we've been together I have grown a sixth sense to tell between playing and serious. Judging by the amused glint in his eye, despite the frown on his face and the way his fingers were weaving into my hair against my scalp, I knew he was being playful.
Dimitri sighed and shook his head. "God, it was Viktoria, wasn't it? She needs to learn to shut her big mouth."
"Actually no, the wrong sister." I tease drawing circles on his shoulders where my hands rested. He looks at me expectantly and although I said to Sonja Dimitri wouldn't find out, I can't resist the look he is giving me. That man will always have me wrapped around his little finger. "Sonja did."
Dimitri shook his head again and opened his mouth to say something but no words left it. Eventually, he rolled to the side and pulled me over so I was laying on top of him, his hands resting on my waist. "I think my family loves you more than I do."
I frown despite the compliment "You sure you want to stick with that declaration?"
"Mmm maybe not." He slid his hands up into my hair and pulled me down to meet his kiss. Unlike the kisses last night, it was slow and passionate. Dimitri's hands ran up and down my back causing me to shiver despite how hot I still was.
Things were just heating up when there was a knock at the door and Viktoria's voice drifted through "Can I come in?"
I roll off of Dimitri with one last kiss and he throws the blanket back over us. "Yeah," I call sitting up to lean against the headboard. She comes in and the look she gives us leads me to believe that our disappearance last night did indeed go noticed.
"We are all going into Omsk. Mama said you guys can stay here and have the house to yourselves. We will be back before sundown." She says obviously displeased with the situation
"What are you doing in Omsk?" I asked crossing my legs under the blanket and leaning forward.
"I'm not really sure I think Mama has papers to sign and Sonja wants to go shopping for something." She looked down at Dimitri who was still laying on the bed with his eyes closed "Is he asleep?"
"No." I reach over and try to slap his chest but he catches my hand before it hits, his eyes still closed. He pulls my hand so I fall on top of him laughing, my side on his stomach.
"And that is my cue to leave." I'm barely paying attention when she closes the door shouting her goodbyes.
"She's finally gone," Dimitri mumbles opening his eyes
I adjust myself so I am sitting on his pelvis, my legs on either side of his body. "She was here for like a minute."
I watch as he puts his hands under his head, showing off his biceps "A minute too long if you ask me."
"Well, no one did." I mock, tracing the lines of his muscles with my fingertips. The sound of a car accelerating out of the driveway alerted me to the fact we were now the only ones in the house. I give Dimitri a parting kiss and get off of the bed, "I am going to find food."
I hear Dimitri mumble something incoherent and roll my eyes as I exit his room.
