Unfortunately, it turns out being a bridesmaid was more than just walking down the aisle with some flowers. As much as I loved Sonya and Mikhail, I was beginning to regret agreeing to be apart of the bridal party.

"Oh my god!" I heard Sonya exclaim and I looked over from my spot on the couch. "Where are my shoes?"

"Don't worry they are here somewhere." Emily fussed and began picking up coats and bags on the floor to find the alleged shoes. Deciding I should probably help and sending a look to Jill, we both rose from the couch to help find the shoes.

All I could think was who loses their shoes?

Five minutes later and officially late to the wedding, the shoes had not come up and the girls had completely trashed the room. Sonya was nearly in tears. "What am I going to do? My place is over the other end of Court to get new shoes and we will be really late."

"What size shoe are you?" I asked, tumbling through the mess to get to the other girls.

"Eight."

"I'm a seven and a half, you can wear my shoes. They're cream but its good enough." I suggested already leaning down to undo the heels.

"But what will you wear?" Sonya asked gratefully taking the shoes from my hand.

I shrugged, "Nothing, I'll just go barefoot." It was only a church and I'm guessing there wasn't going to be any broken glass or anything on the floor.

"Are you sure?" I nodded and she pulled me into a quick hug. "Thank you, Rose."

I waved it off and held her arm steady as she slipped on the shoes. Once she had straightened and fixed her dress I tugged her towards the door. "Come on we should probably go."

The walk from the room to church was not very long and when we arrived we were only seven minutes past schedule. I was the first to enter from the bridal party and when I heard the music begin I stepped through the open double doors. Everyone was in the process of standing and looking back and I spotted Dimitri I couple of rows from the front, practically, towering over everyone including the elderly lady in front of him.

While everyone looked at me in the beginning, the eyes were no longer on me as Jill walked through the doors, besides Dimitri's. I gave him a dazzling smile, knowing I looked pretty good in my red bridesmaid dress, Ironic for a vampire wedding.

He smiled back and his eyes slipped to my bare feet questionably, I merely had time to shrug before I was past him and soon onto the altar. I was watching Mikhail as the bride stepped into the church and was pleased with the way his former smile morphed into a grin as he saw her.

The ceremony and their vows were beautiful, but I was getting hungry standing there for so long and ready for the reception to start. When the couple said I do and kissed, I clapped along with the crowd and threw in a wolf whistle.

"You look really bloody beautiful." I didn't need to turn around to know who it was.

"I thought you would have prefered me in white?" I teased, turning around. We had just followed the newlywed couple out of the church and the whole crowd was standing on the sidewalk.

"Mmmm but I also would have prefered if you were the bride." Dimitri smiled, his eyes glowing. We had been to another wedding last year, and I never failed to notice how happy they made Dimitri.

"A nice change from all the funerals." He had said when I'd asked him about it that night. "We have both seen so much death that a bit of happiness is a refreshing change."
