"Merida!" Shouted Elinor in frustration, glaring at her eleven-year-old, curly haired daughter.

Merida ignored her mother and continued riding her horse, Angus, around the yard, her red hair tangling wildly in the wind.

"Merida! Get over here THIS INSTANT!" Her mother yelled, finally running out of patience.

Merida exaggerated a sigh, but slid off Angus and came over to her mother none the less.

"What now?" She asked grumpily. "It's supposed to be my day off from being a princess!"

Her mother pressed a hand to the bridge of her nose in an attempt to suppress the headache she could feel coming on.

"A letter has arrived for you." Her mother replied. "Which we need to discuss. With your father."

She turned and entered the DunBroch castle, with Merida trailing excitedly after her.

"Fergus!" Elinor shouted.

"Yes, dear?" Fergus, Elinor's husband, entered the dining hall where an exhausted Elinor and an excited Merida sat.

"How's your horse riding going with Angus?" Fergus asked his daughter.

"Great! Angus and I are really good friends!" Merida replied eagerly.

Elinor clapped her hands twice, and the two looked over at her.

"Now, then, Merida, here is your letter." She said, passing the heavy parchment to her daughter. "Why don't you open it?"

Merida snatched the letter and proceeded to do just that, ripping open the wax seal and tearing through the envelope.

"Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry," she read.

Elinor gasped and Fergus shook his head disbelievingly.

Merida continued reading the letter. "Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)
