I walked into our small cottage in the Tynterlands where my family lived. My Father, Mother, two older brothers, myself, and little sister.
I am normal. Technically, I am a Phoenix, and depending on my mood, my hair changes color. To my family it doesn't make sense that I'm a Phoenix, seeing as they are all werewolves, but normal none the less.
Perhaps I should explain myself. My name is Aria. I have two older brothers, Seth and Ezekiel, along with a younger sister, Lailah. We live with our parents in Pack. Specifically, in one of the outer cities. My mother was considered a rogue, because she was a mix breed, which is supposedly where I come in. My mom is half Werewolf, half Vampire, so somehow that makes me a Phoenix. My dad however is a pure werewolf, born in Royal and very strong, which is where Seth gets it, but since he mated my mom, he was 'demoted' from Beta. So if my mom wasn't a half breed, we would be Royals.
Today I wore a simple cream colored dress with a dark chocolate corset. I wore some simple black shoes, well you would probably consider them heels of some sort, and my hair up in a French twist ponytail with my hair still reaching down to my butt. Currently my hair is what I believe it's normal color is, a deep raven black.
I looked around the cottage for Lailah. It was the annual Festival of Fairies, which is Lailah's favorite holiday not to mention it's a break from the war.
"Lailah," I asked walking up the steps of the two story house to Lailah's room, "Lailah," I asked again in a sing-song voice. She wasn't here apparently. I suppose I should check the well just in case...
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" She jumped on my back shouting her war cry. I simply grabbed hold of her and jump in the air. What goes up must come down. We both landed with a huge thud an the wind getting knocked out of her.
When she finally caught her breath, she slapped my arm. Such the little sister. "heeyyy," she whined, dragging out the word.
"What, your the one who jumped on me, it was the quickest way to get you off of me." I said to her as her face changed from a cringe to a pout.
"Well why do you have to be so fat," Lailah was very slender with nice curves, and over all very beautiful with her light brown hair reaching down to her elbows.
"I'm not fat, and besides, if I hadn't, you would still be screaming on top of me,"a smirk made it's way across my face, "and you wouldn't know about a certain Fairy that's coming to the festival today." Her eyes widened and I could see them fill with excitement. She absolutely adored Fairies.
She jumped up and practically sprinted down the stairs. She still hadn't asked mom and dad if she could go with me and Seth to the festival. I casually walked down the steps and walked into the Kitchen where mom almost surely would be. "Mom, please, please PLEASE can I go to the Festival with Seth and Aria?!" she asked while practically jumping in place.
"Wait a minute, I thought you were gonna go tomorrow with your father and I?" Mom questioned. There were ways our family did things. Normally, Seth and I would go out together just because we got along well and he was my best friend. Mom, Dad, and Lailah always went as a Family sorta thing, and Ezekiel always was off on his own. Mom was extremely beautiful. She had long light brown hair, blue eyes with rosy cheeks accompanied by soft cheekbones.
"But mom," Lailah whined,
"But mom what?" dad asked walking into the kitchen with the weekly paper in hand. My father was also very handsome, with black hair like mine, and strong jaw line, and for an older guy, still pretty fit.
"But I want to go with Seth and Aria to the festival today." Lailah asked trying to give dad her best puppy dog eyes.
"I thought you were going with us?" Dad questioned, always suspicious of what she might be up to.
