*Katie's POV*
I feel the blood trickling down my arm as I start to feel sick again. I run to the bathroom and stand over the toilet. Nothing but blood comes out. My older sister Julianna comes into my room. When she sees me with blood everywhere and a blade on the floor she freaks out, "Oh my god! Katie you're only 13 why are you doing this to yourself! First you starve yourself, then you start cutting! What happened to the happy girl I used to know?" I just sat there. "Clean yourself up, we are gonna have company later." I got into the shower and start to cry. Yeah you can call me fragile, but I wasn't always like this until a few months ago.
*flashback*
"Hey, Jace what's up?" I walked up to Jace, one of my closest friends, "Ew get away from me you freak." I just stood there surprised, I went home crying. I went into my bathroom and looked for a blade, that's when it started. Well not only did I move schools, my family and I moved states. From Miami, to North Carolina.
*end of flashback*
I got out of the shower and brushed my hair. Then I put on my cheerleading sweats and a tank top. I walked downstairs find my family with another."Oh there she is!" My stepmom, Amanda, said to the other mom I did not recognise."Elizabeth, this is my step-daughter Katie. Katie this is Elizabeth and her children Will, Nash, Hayes, and Skylynn." I smiled, "Nice to meet you all." Hayes looked at me and smiled, I just blushed."They are our neighbors, you also will be going to school with Nash and Hayes." Great, won't that be fun. "It was lovely meeting you guys, but we have to go now." Elisabeth and her children gave us all hugs then left. "Katelynn, we need to talk." Woah, I've never heard my stepmom call me my full name before, my dad has many times before though. Nervous I sat down next to her. "Listen sweetheart, Julianna told me what she saw in your room. We left Miami so you could have a fresh start. I know you like it here. I even saw Hayes checking you out, haha" We both giggle, that is why I love my step mom
