Step 9

"Ah, why are we here again?" You pouted as you followed the swim team into the shop.

The boys wanted to shop for swimwear again, especially Haru. As you and Gou were the managers of the swim team, the both of you were dragged to come along as well.

"Look on the bright side, (Name)!" Gou appeared by your side. "You'll get to see Haruka-senpai try on swimsuits!" She whispered, a smirk tugging on her lips.

You blushed a bit at that thought. "But Gou, we see them shirtless almost every day."

"Good point."

With Haru leading the group, everyone made their way to the men's section of the store.

Everyone had somehow managed to unintentionally split into groups of two.

Makoto was with Haru who was examining the row of identical swimming trunks that he already has.

Nagisa and Rei were looking through swim gear and rather 'unique' looking swimsuits.

You and Gou had found a place to sit in front of the fitting rooms.

Some time later, the boys showed up with multiple swimsuits in their arms.

Haru was the first to try on his swimwear. Well, the sight in front of you didn't really surprise you. He basically looked the same almost every day.

Gou, on the other hand, looked like she was under a spell as she gawked at Haru who had just appeared from behind the curtain on the fitting room.

"Those triceps," Gou murmured. You swore you could've seen sparkles around her.

You'd be lying if you said you didn't enjoy the view. Who wouldn't have their eyes glued to a toned, good-looking boy in swim trunks?

You shook your head. You did not just think of that.

Aside from Gou's fangirling, what really bothered you was the two girls in the background on your left. They had their eyes on Haru and they were fangirling just as Gou did.

Gou hadn't really bothered you because you knew that she would gawk at any male who had their shirt off.

But your temper began to rise at the two girls who were inching closer and closer to the oblivious Haru.

You immediately stood up from the seats in front of the fitting rooms. Stomping over to Haru, you placed your hands on his shoulders.

"(Name)? What-" before Haru could finish his sentence, you shoved him back into the fitting room and pulled the curtain shut.

Everyone was startled by your sudden reaction, even the two girls who were attracted to Haru.

"(Name), are you okay?" Makoto asked, afraid that you might be angry at Haru for taking too long. "Is something wrong?"

You came back to your senses as you moved back to sit down. "N-Nothing's wrong," you let out a nervous laugh, a bit embarrassed at what you just did.

In the corner of your eye, you could see Gou with a smirk on her face.

"Were you bothered by the two girls who were staring at Haruka-senpa- "

"GOU SHUT UP"

"Does (Name) like Haru-chan?!" Nagisa piped up.

Heat rushed to your cheeks. "That's not it! Wait, I mean- I like him, b-but not in that way!"

"(Name) likes Haru-chan, (Name) likes Haru-chan!" Nagisa chanted as he skipped around, Rei screaming his head off at him.

Of course, Gou joined in the fun too. Makoto was just smiling as he could see right through your mask.

"NAGISA I'M GONNA KILL YOU" You chased Nagisa around, his bubbly laughter filling the surroundings.

From the fitting room, Haru could hear everything. A small smile spreaded across his lips. He found you adorable when you were jealous, but he didn't mind the girls staring at him.

Because he knew that you were going to be his someday in the future.
