As to the day's events, as expected, you caught a cold the very next day.
That's why you decided not to go to school, you felt horrible that morning. You hated your headache and your stuffy nose, and you fully blamed Haru for it.
Little did you know, Haru had left school early without telling anyone, not even Makoto. He decided that it was his responsibility to make sure you get better, because, he'd admit it, it was entirely his fault.
He went home, took a bath and he changed into his everyday clothes, specifically his blue hoodie. He went over to his kitchen to grab a few ingredients to cook you some soup as an apology.
After pouring the freshly-cooked chicken soup into a thermos, he made his way out and towards your house, which was just in the same area. He easily unlocked your door, knowing that you'd always keep your front door locked just in case.
"I'm coming in," He muttered in politeness as he entered your house, slipping off his shoes in the process. He set the bag containing the thermos on the table as he started to look around for you.
No luck, you must be in your room.
Haru stood outside your bedroom door, hearing no noise at all. He slowly twisted the doorknob, opening the door to see something that made his heart race in horror.
You were sprawled on the ground, your (H/C) hair covering your face.
"(Name)!" Haru rushed over and kneeled beside you, his eyes widening. You didn't move at all an that's what made him panic more. He shook you frantically but in a gentle manner, checking your breaths. Thankfully, you were still breathing.
Were you dead? Did you faint? Those questions played in Haru's mind. If you weren't up and healthy again, he would never forgive himself for this.
"(Name)! (Name), wake up!" Haru said it a little louder this time, causing you to jolt up as you backed up against your bed.
You shrieked, your eyes focusing on the dark-haired male in front of you.
"HARU?!" You shouted, ending up sneezing after. Both of you let out a sigh of relief, with you being not dead and Haru not being a kidnapper or something.
"Geez, don't scare me. How did you even get in?" You eyed him suspiciously, sniffing as you ruffled your messed up hair a little.
"I used the key in the flower pot outside your house," He shrugged.
"Oh, right," Of course he knew about your spare key. "But shouldn't you be at school?"
"I left early. To make you something," He averted his glance as he sat on the floor with you.
"Oh," That was all you said, a small sneeze erupted from you afterwards.
Haru got up, reappearing a few minutes later with the soup he made earlier.
He sat crossed-legged in front of you, twisting open the lid of the thermos as puffs of steam escaped from it.
You could hardly make out the scent of whatever Haru made, but you were definitely sure it was going to taste amazing.
"Here, I made some chicken soup," Haru spoke as he handed the thermos over to you with a spoon in his other hand.
You giggled. "I'd expected mackerel, but I guess this works," You sneezed once again, snapping your head to the side.
You sniffled as you brought a spoonful of soup to your mouth. You couldn't taste much, but the fragrance of the soup was enough to help your tastebuds enjoy it.
Haru sat there as he watched you enjoy the soup he made, a small smile tugging at his lips.
You settled the thermos down on the floor. "Thanks Haru, for both the visit and the soup."
"It's nothing."
The next thing you did, you got up and crawled back to your bed. The soup had warmed you up and you felt comfortable enough for a nap.
Haru blankly watched your meek figure crawl back under the blankets. Minutes later, he could hear your soft snores from the other side of the bed.
He got up himself, his gaze softening as he eyed your sleeping self. He couldn't help but find you super adorable as you slept.
Haru couldn't stop himself anymore. He gently picked up the side of the blankets as he slipped into the bed beside you. He felt you turn towards him as you unconsciously snuggled into his chest, his eyes widening as you did.
He relaxed afterwards, putting his arms around you, pulling you closer as he drifted off to sleep.
Haru was overjoyed that he could repay you with the soup he made, not to mention that the snuggles that came with it had helped you feel better too.
Step 7: let him take care of you, check!
BONUS
"Haru?" Makoto called out into your home as he found the door unlocked. He knew that if Haru wasn't at home, he'd surely be at your place.
"I'm coming in," Makoto easily made his way to your room as he knocked on the door a couple of times.
He waited a few seconds, there was no response. He opened the door as quietly as he could just in case you were sleeping.
Turns out, he was right.
Makoto's lips broke out into a soft smile as he heard quiet snoring, seeing you comfortably cuddled into Haru's chest. He quietly took out his phone and snapped a photo of both of your sleepy figures, chuckling to himself.
"These two will end up together someday, I'm sure of it."
