"None of this makes sense," Jaehyun muttered under his breathe, frustrated. He'd been on this case for nearly a year, finally able to piece together the intricate details that made the case nearly impossible; that is until the most recent addition to the long string of murders. It seemed scattered at first, the only connection between each person was the small, specks of this dust that surrounded them that seemed to glow if you put it in the light at just the right angle.
The family and friends of these people all pointed out that along with the murder, the home has also been stolen from. Jaehyun had no way of figuring out what exactly was stolen, but each item was heavily guarded with state of the art safes and biometric technology. It was hard to imagine what exactly needed that much security.
"I know you're frustrated," the man across from him took a long sip of tea, relishing the velvety liquid the ran down his throat, "but you need to calm down. We still have time."
"Yuta, you know-"
"I know. I'm frustrated, too. My sister's family has been dragged into this and it really isn't the most thrilling thing when she has a new born child to care for," he put the cup in his hand down on the round coffee table in front of him.
"I just don't understand. I've finally managed to follow the stream of victims, so why the sudden tangent? What was so important about your brother-in-law that this person had their eyes set out for his blood?"
Yuta sat quietly in thought, a hand resting just under his chin. His brother-in-law was a warm hearted, tough guy that loved everyone and, in return, recieved love back. It was hard to imagine anyone really hating the man so much that they'd actually kill him. There had to be a reason. Maybe he had something. Maybe he knew something, "it's hard to say... but if he did have something or knew something, there's a chance this monster will go back for my sister."
"Do you want me to assign a guard on your sister? Or something like a witness protection program?"
"No," Yuta stood, stuffing his hands in the pockets of his dress pants, "this is an opportunity."
Jaehyun's eyes widened, not really sure if he heard him right? He wasn't suggesting what he thought he was suggesting, right? "Don't tell me... but, you're sister-"
"Listen, I care about her and her child. Nothing will happen to them."
"But, you'll be putting them in danger if-"
"Jaehyun, please," he already had a hand resting on top of the doorknob leading to the hallway just outside Jaehyun's office, "please trust me on this."
He stayed silent for a while, choosing to look at the Japanese man's eyes for something: confirmation, worry, hesitance, anything. But, he got nothing. With a long sigh, he finally spoke out, "What do you need me to do?"

"Jimin, I swear," Jungkook rubbed his tired eyes, pressing his nose bridge soon after, "you're seriously hooking up with Seul?"
The older man smirked, his childlike face mending into a manlier one, "I don't see why not. She's clearly interested."
"Trust me, she is, but it won't last."
"That's what hooking up is. It's far too soon to get into a long term relationship," he pointed out, jumping back onto the couch with bags of chips in his arms. Jungkook rolled his eyes, focusing back onto the movie playing in front of them, "so, when are you gonna get a girl?"
