Yuta had stuck beside Jaehyun while he recovered from his predicament. Somehow he managed to inhale a good amount of the stuff that came out of the magical items their culprit used.
Of course, this worried Yuta as Jaehyun did show signs of change but otherwise he was fine. He just wasn't sure how to tell Jaehyun that his once chocolate, brown eyes were now colored a hazel that held a bit of silver in them. He was sure that Jaehyun would discover them himself and was surprised that he hasn't already, "feel any better?"
"Physically, I'm actually more than fine. Mentally, not so fine." The weight of the disappearance of the two girls' still weighed heavy in his mind, unable to fully accept that it really wasn't his fault, especially since there was a certain god who kept blaming him for it.
"They'll be fine, Jae. Rosé is with Lisa and from what I've heard, she's the sister of Ares."
"Of course she's one of them. Explains the weapon she turned to dust," Jaehyun recalled, remembering the small knife fall apart when it came in contact with her hand. He remembered the moment her eyes turned a fierce pink before suddenly everything started getting blown away and the man was gone, leaving Jaehyun coughing and panicked on the floor.
When people had come to his aid, he ignored them almost completely because where the hell did the two girls he was with go? They disappeared with the man after he pulled out a golden bottle and yanked the cork off the top of it. Jaehyun was confused and terrified.
Even still, he managed to recognise the golden dust that sparkled when the light hit it at just the right angle and it sent his blood cold. He had just been face to face with the man he'd been searching for for an entire year.
When he told Yuta about it, he was a bit shocked as he already had a lead on a likely suspect (the reason he came down to Busan) because somebody had contacted his older sister anonymously in a threatening way. He later found out that it was just another criminal bent of revenge for putting him in jail, which Yuta ignored but still made precautions for his sister's and nephew's safety.
The door to the room they were in opened slightly, Jungkook's head poking in from the other side, "this is a first," Jaehyun started, looking at the god with interest, "you've never visited before."
"Well, surprise," Jungkook sauntered in, taking a seat at the foot of the bed, "what happened to your eyes?"
'Of course he'd be the first one to say it' Yuta thought, nearly rolling his eyes.
"What do you mean?" Jungkook merely raised and eyebrow and pulled out his phone, handing it to Jaehyun to look at himself through the screen.
"You seriously didn't know up until now? Do you not look at a mirror?"
Jaehyun stared at his reflection, amazed by the color of his eyes, "I'm always usually in a hurry, so most of the time I don't look into the mirror. It saves time even if its just a few seconds."
Jungkook scoffed. He seemed more stuck up than Jisoo, "what a square."
"Hey." Jaehyun feigned hurt at the comment that really wasn't meant for his ears.
"Anyway, Jisoo was wondering if you knew where Lisa stashed the book?"
Jaehyun thought for a second and hesitated to answer. That was until Jungkook told him that it could help them find the two girls, "it's in her bag. She usually brings it everywhere she goes, but just as luck would have it, she left her stuff here that day."
"Do you know where her bag is?"
"No. Ask Yeri. That girl knows everything when it comes to Lisa." Jungkook nodded and headed for the door.
