"Haeun, please come out. You're making me worried"

SEOL HAEUN remained silent as she heard her grandmother sigh, still wrapped in her pitiful blanket burrito in hopes of thawing her frozen heart. She hasn't been the same since that evening - not wanting to go work in the flower shop and only leaving her room to go to the bathroom. She didn't have the heart to face Kenta after what she found out, to be honest she was more sorry and sad than scared. Of course the news shocked her at first, but as time when on she remembered that it was all of her fault why he was dead, why this happened to him.

Her grandmother was finally fed up with her granddaughter's actions, sighing as she entered Haeun's room and opened up her white curtains. "Why are you like this?", her grandmother asked, stroking her knotted hair and looked into her puffy eyes. "Haeun, please eat. Look, I made your favorite meal", the old woman smiled, placing the warm bowl of spicy tofu soup into Haeun's shaking hands.

Haeun slowly ate the soup her grandma made, not having the appetite to eat anymore since she hasn't been eating properly. "I don't even know what his favorite foods are", Haeun mumbled, lowering her head. The wrinkled woman sighed, putting down the bowl and wrapped her worn out arms around the petite girl, rocking back and forth.

"What about a story? Whenever you cried when you were younger, my stories always made you feel better", Ms. Seol suggested, pressing her aged cheek against Haeun's. The twenty-something year old girl nodded slowly, sniffling as she felt the tenseness in her shoulders being released.

"So there was a man who saw the his parents die in front of him at such a young age. He loved his parents so, so much. A few years have passed and he was leading a semi-normal life when something strange happened - he could see how people would die in his dreams. He hated it, he truly did but he must do God's work of collecting the souls and bring them to where they need to be. He felt so alone, felt so ashamed of himself that he would lock his feelings up, not talking to anyone"

"But then he met someone, someone different. Someone he never thought he'd meet again. She was beautiful in his eyes, the prettiest girl he's ever met in his life. He fell head over heels for her and slowly, she did the same. They dated, they loved, they were happy", the woman sighed, closing her eyes.

"But...then what happened?", Haeun asked weakly, tears unknowingly running down her flush cheeks.

"There was something wrong with the girl, she became sick, terribly sick. The boy couldn't lose her, he didn't want her to die. He made a deal with God, pleading to spare her life. God complied, but with a cost"

"Which was?"

"That he must die for her, lose a life to gain a life. The boy...he didn't want the girl to die, he knew how much potential she had for this life. The girl had a family she loved, a future she could have. So he took it for her, he agreed with God. A few days later, as if it were a miracle, the girl defeated all odds and survived, but the boy got into an accident. He died under two moons, but he still loved her no matter what, and the girl never forgot him", the old woman finished, her voice cracking in towards the end as she opened her eyes. "She had his child and she raised his child with a tender love like no other"

"What happened to his powers?", Haeun questioned, her tears stopping but was replaced with curiosity.

"His powers got passed down after he died. It went to someone else. The powers...they're gained when someone you love dies under two moons, and that's when the torch is passed down to the next messenger. It went to his son, but after the woman's son died I don't know where the powers went", Ms. Seol breathed out, stroking her granddaughter's hair. "Now come outside, it's been a week since you came out of your room. Come bid you're grandmother goodbye"

Haeun tilted her head, getting up slowly and walked out of the room, becoming blinded because of the bright sunlight. "Where are you going, grandma?", she asked, helping the old woman put on her violet scarf.

"It came up on short notice, but my friends wanted me to go visit them at Busan. I'm sorry that I can't be with you, but just make yourself ramen or order pizza when you get hungry. You have my credit card", Ms.Seol explained, holding her granddaughter's hands. "I'll be back in a few days"

Haeun sniffled, hugging her grandmother. "Don't have too much fun without me"

The old woman chuckled, taking her suitcase and with that she left. That meant Haeun was alone, all alone, as she drowned in her dark, melancholy thoughts.

TAKADA KENTA walked through the hospital's automatic doors, going up to the receptionist and handed her a bouquet of tulips. "Please give these to Cho Jeonghee", he said before turning around to stop by the flower shop.

He had been visiting the flower shop for the past week and during that week Haeun hasn't been there - he only person he saw working was Ms. Seol and Daniel.

Kenta was afraid that was going to happen - that Haeun was terrified of him, thinking that he was some type of monster. He was afraid that Haeun wouldn't want to talk to him ever again, pretending that he never existed.

It broke Kenta's heart just thinking about it, that the girl he loved didn't love him back.

Shoving his hands in his pockets, he spotted a familiar old woman walk into the building with a suitcase, a violet scarf around her neck as she checked into the hospital.

"Ms. Seol?", Kenta greeted confusedly. Ms. Seol turned around at the voice before, smiling warmly at the Japanese boy. "What are you doing here?", he asked. He was worried, it was Haeun's grandmother who was in the hospital - the only family member she had left.

"Just an appointment, nothing too special", the old woman responded, sitting down on one of the couches and signaled him to sit next to her. "Before you leave, can you please do me a favor?"

"Of course"

"Please take care of Haeun for me. Make sure she eats because she hasn't been eating correctly for  two weeks and today was the first time she came out of her room. Here's the keys to the store and the loft. Daniel is training at an entertainment company to him right now, and he hasn't been at the store for a little bit, so please look after Haeun for me", the old woman pleaded, wrapping her wrinkled hands over his.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of her as best as I can", Kenta nodded, giving her a warm and sincere smile. Ms. Seol breathed out in relief, giving him a tight hug.

"Thank you so much. There's a book in the kitchen with all of my recipes which Haeun loves. Don't allow her to go near the stove and knives", she laughed, releasing him from his grasp. "Even though she's 20, I still think she'll burn down the house or cut a finger off"

Kenta chuckled, trying to lighten the mood even though he felt the air become much more sad, much more depressing. It was as if she knew what was coming, and that was what scared her. Behind her kind and smiling eyes was fear.

"Don't worry, I promise that Haeun won't get hurt."
