Riley had gone to her 5th-period class, walking with Anastasia and Peter. The rest of the day went by pretty quickly for the most part. When the last bell rang, Peter came over to her and said, "I'll meet you at the front of the school entrance in 5 minutes. Is that good?" Everything felt weird now that he knew that she knew he was Spider-man.

Riley smiled at him, putting her books in her schoolbag. "Yup." She quickly packed up the books that she needed for the night's work and headed towards the entrance, meeting Peter on the way. He seemed very on edge.

"So, what have you got planned for tonight?" She said, looking up at him, clutching her Bio textbook to her chest, since she couldn't fit it in her schoolbag.

"Well, I was thinking we could go to get coffee somewhere and then back to my house?" Peter said. "But, it's totally up to you. Do you like coffee?"

"Yeah, it's good, but most of the time I prefer tea," Riley said smiling at him. Peter lived a lot closer to school than Anastasia and the coffee place was half the distance to his house from school, so he figured they could walk, despite the cold weather.

"Do you walk home often?" Riley asked him. He probably lived a half hour walk from school, which wasn't that bad but in the cold, it wasn't that good.

"In the spring and fall, yeah, but not usually when it's cold like this," Peter said. "But, this is a special occasion, so I have sacrificed myself."

"Have you sacrificed me or you?" Riley said, laughing, seeing her breath in the air. Luckily, it hadn't snowed in a while so it wasn't extremely difficult to walk outside.

"Probably both if I'm being honest," Peter said, laughing. "Is that okay with you?"

They arrived at the coffee shop in 15 minutes, Riley shivering as she walked in. Her nose was probably as red as Rudolph's. Peter thought she looked adorable. Her hair was in a loose ponytail, it is a little messy from the wind.

"Hi, welcome to Karen's, how may I help you?" an older woman asked, as they approached the counter.

"Hi, can I have a cup of tea with cream and sugar?" Riley asked the lady nicely.

"And I'll have peppermint coffee, please," Peter said, after.

"$7.95, please," the lady said, smiling at them.

As Riley reached for her purse, Peter said to her, "I got it."

"Are you sure?" Riley asked him.

"Y-yeah, it's fine," Peter said, handing her a ten.

After giving him the change back, Peter went to go get their drinks from the other counter, like the gentleman he was. Riley just sighed and smiled. "How long have you two been together?" the cashier asked her, smiling.

"Excuse me?" Riley said, politely.

"You're telling me you guys aren't together?" she asked, confused.

"No, we're just friends, why?" Riley asked, intrigued now.

"He paid for your tea, and have you ever noticed the way he looks at you?" She said, raising her eyebrows. "You two should be together."

Riley laughed. "Well, he is really sweet, but...I mean, I don't know. How can you tell?" She glanced over at Peter who took the drinks carefully and smiled at her. He was such a dork. A cute dork.

"My husband used to give me that look all the time," the lady said. "Well, how old are you, 17, 18?"

"17," Riley said, looking at her name tag which read, Karen.
