Alanna sat beside Tyrion in the carriage they had. It was something similar to what she would get potatoes off of the back of a cart back home. The only difference was there were none and it was hot as hell out. She had the reins while Tyrion road beside her. She could feel the awkward tension in the air as they traveled through the open desert.

"I didn't know you were such a good driver."

Tyrion stated causing Alanna's eyes brow to arch. She glanced at him with a small smirk. Her back straightened and Tyrion could have sworn there was a sparkle in her eye.

"I can ride even better horseback. My father taught me even though my mother thought it pointless. "A lady has no use on a horse." She use to say constantly."

"Ah yes, your mother seemed very strong opionated."

Alanna had a dry laugh pass through her lips. She shook her head and grinned even larger as she looked down at Tyrion.

"Where do you think I get it from?"

She said causing Tyrion to smile as well. Alanna had to admit but speaking to Tyrion about these things was much better than just writing in an awkward silence.

Even though it had been a long while since the Red Wedding had commenced she knew that Tyrion had been against the way it had happened. He had been there for her the night it had happened.

He had secretly visited her and made sure that she was alright. It was odd because he did not even visit his own wife or sit there to comfort her figuring the Sansa had despised him for the actions that his father had taken.

"My mother was an excellent lady. Had it been under difference circumstances... she may have even been proud of my marriage. Had my father not been beheaded by Joffery then perhaps... perhaps the awful ties between Stark's and Lannister's would have been mended."

Tyrion with quiet to her soft word. He figured this was her just thinking out loud now because it was a very deep thought conversation.

Honestly one that he had not guessed that she would have even brought up. He understood that her marriage to his father had been rough on her emotionally.

He had seen it more than once and it hurt him greatly that he was unable to do anything considering he was not only her friend but her brother-in-law and also her son by marriage.

"Or perhaps it would not have happened at all. Your marriage to my father I mean."

He stated glancing at her seeing her expression. She merely nodded.

"Had it not been for the war your father would have more than likely never met me. So I believe you're right."

She said softly clicking her tongue to have their horse move a bit faster down the dusty road. They road in silence for a ways longer before Alanna decided to strike up a conversation again.

"Did you ever love my sister Tyrion?"

Alanna questioned wishing to know if the little man had actually cared for her sister in the ways that he showed or if it was just a facade.

In all honesty she would not have blamed him if he had not felt love for her seeing as how the marriage was forced and he was apparently in love with her handmaiden, Shae.

"Don't get me wrong, I cared for the girl. But, no, I don't suppose I loved her."

"With a marriage build on nothing I'm not surprised."

"Did you love my father?"

Right as soon as the question left his mouth he instantly regretted it. Tyrion watched as Alana's face scrunched up into a painful emotion that quickly flee as soon as as it arrived as if she realized that she had allowed it to happen. Tyrion quickly looked away ashamed for speaking without thinking.
