Alanna stood there holding her very heavy belly. Daenerys peering down at her, Tyrion newly elected as her Hand of the Queen. Alanna's gaze never moved from Daenerys's.
"You are the famous lady Alanna Lannister, widowed wife of Tywin Lannister, sister of a brother who you allowed to be murdered at his own wedding by your husband?"
Alanna didn't speak as she was biting her tongue. She wanted to lash out at the Targaryen woman before her who sat upon the throne as if mocking her. Daenerys arched one of her thick brows seemingly waiting on an answer.
"My Hand has told me about you, about your struggles, and your journey here. He's told me how you have your late husband's child in your belly, yet you have taken my Hand's heart."
She said watching Alanna's body movement noticing that Alanna's stoic face never changed but for a small clench in her jaw.
"He said you wandered the desert and seen the faces of your demons. That you survived your trials."
Daenerys said standing up slowly causing Tyrion to look at the woman. She walked down slowly from the throne toward Alanna.
"And now you stand here before me, unspoken looking like a true Lannister your face completely unreadable. But usually that means one of two things. You either agree or you wish to kill me -- "
"There's been enough death already."
Alanna finally spoke causing Daenerys to tilt her head up a bit, much like Tywin did with her when he found her words interesting and she knew it meant that she had the Queen's attention.
"I don't care who you are or where you come from or that you're Targaryen for that matter. All I care about is the child inside of me and that man standing to your right. Anything and anyone else is just extra at this point."
Alanna noticed the slight teeter that Tyrion gave toward Alanna's confession about him. Daenerys allowed for a small smirk to cross her lips, it seemed amused.
"Yes, he told me you were rather reluctant to come on this whole journey for those two reasons."
"On the contrary, it's the reason why I came. To make sure this idiot wouldn't do something stupid to end up killed."
Daenerys couldn't help but let a small giggle slip. She grinned widely and shook her head looking at Alanna.
"He said I'd like you, Lady Alanna."
"Hope that means I'll get to live?"
She jested slightly, knowing fully that Tyrion wouldn't have taken the position had Daenerys wanted Alanna's head. The woman gave another giggle and nodded her head, her smirk turning into a rather mischievous one.
"For now at least."
Alanna bowed slightly, finding it harder and harder to curtsy in her condition. Daenerys glanced at her swollen tummy and then back up to her.
"How far along are you Lady Alanna?"
"The child should be this moon."
Daenerys nodded slowly glancing between her belly and her.
"I wish you luck. Let me know if you're in need of anything."
"Your kindness is most accepted your grace. I will."
Daenerys gave her a small nod before turning her back to her and climbing up the steps of the throne.
"You may take your leave Lady Alanna. Get some rest and prepare for your child."
Daenerys called out causing Alanna to bow again. She glanced up at Tyrion once, seeing the look he gave her that told her to head straight back to their room, before turning and leaving the throne room.
This time, she would do as she was told.
