"This is completely unnecessary!"

Alanna shouted from the back of the cart where she and Tyrion was now held hostage. Jorah Mormont was their captor and even though he was quiet and not that crude, Alanna still hated the idea of being taken prisoner.

Tywin glanced at his friend. His hands were also bound together as he sat beside her. He glanced from her to Jorah viewing the man from the side.

"She's right you know. We were actually on our way to find your queen. We aren't barbarians, we're Lannisters, true to our word!"

Jorah glanced over his shoulder and seen the glare that Alanna gave him and the disappointment from Tyrion.

"Your lady pulled a sword on me, I have enough reason there to tie you both up."

"You kidnapped us!"

Alanna shouted and kicked her legs up and down. Tyrion placed his hands on her left shoulder as she sat to his right.

"Alanna please! Calm yourself!"

"No!"

She shouted as she turned toward Tyrion. He was taken aback as he seen her eyes turning bloodshot from emotions.

"I will not be taken prisoner again! I will not do it a second time Tyrion! I will not!"

She cried struggling to get the ropes from her hands. It hurt as the ropes brushed against her wrists but did not come off. Her skin burned like it was set a blaze and turned red around the edges of the skin where the rope held.

Tyrion noticed this and quickly grabbed her wrists and pulled her down into him. She sobbed and hid her face into his chest. He held her the best he could doing his best to try and comfort her.

"Alanna you must not hurt yourself. Think of your baby."

Tyrion whispered softly into her hair. She sobbed harder causing Jorah to glance behind him again. He frowned looking at the lady and her misery. Sighing he stopped the cart and pulled it off to the side of the road. Tyrion glanced at the man as he hopped into the back of the cart.

Alanna pulled away from Tyrion and looked at the tanned man.

He grabbed her wrists and looked them over seeing that she was indeed rubbing them raw.

"If I remove your wrists you must give me your word, as a Lannister, that you will not attack me again and you will not try to escape."

His eyes locked with hers as they both looked at each other in the cart. Alanna inhaled deeply and nodded her head.

"I give you my word."

She bit her bottom lip looking at Jorah as he pulled forth a knife from his boot and sliced the ropes clean off. She hissed seeing the ugly sight of her redden and chafed wrists. It was then Jorah pulled forth his cantina and poured a bit of water on her wounds.

She hissed, clenching her teeth in the process as it burned even more. Jorah glanced at her from under his lashes as he took one of the blankets they had with them and ripped two strands off and secured them around her wrists to act as bandages.

Alanna made eye contact with him and noticed that he quickly looked away.

"That should hold."

He said as he climbed back to the front of the cart. Alanna reached out for him causing to stop.

"My ankles?"

She questioned wondering if he'd release them as well. Jorah gave her a stoic look before he glanced down at the ropes around her feet.

"Not yet. Prove you keep your word with your wrists and we'll see."

He said as he turned back toward the front. Alanna released him and leaned back into the cart. They started moving again back down the road. Alanna turned and looked at Tyrion and he at her. It was then she did the unthinkable to him and leaned in resting her head upon his chest.

Tyrion stiffened a little but relaxed into a comfortable possession after a few fleeting moments.

Hours passed and the sun was nearly set in the sky. Alanna, as Tyrion had seen, managed to actually find sleep. He sighed at least she wasn't troubled when she slept. He looked up at Jorah from behind figuring now would be as good of time as ever to use his diplomat abilities and skills in speech.

"I must apologize on behalf of Lady Alanna, she's been through quiet a bit over the last two years."

Jorah made no motion to Tyrion as he kept his eyes fixated on the road. Tyrion glanced away for a moment and thought to himself. Perhaps Jorah was going to be a harder egg to crack than he originally believed. Turning back to the man he continued.

"You must understand she was kidnapped by my father in the middle of war, forced to marry him, and carry his child. The man that single handedly brought the destruction of the Stark line to it's knees. I can only imagine the pain that she's felt since all of this began."

Once again no avail. Jorah seemed focused on the road and not paying any attention whatsoever to Tyrion. Still the little man continued.

"That's why we were on our way to see your queen. We have reason to believe that she's the only one suited for the Iron Throne. The only one that can make things right again."

"Do you now?"

Finally Jorah spoke up and glanced behind him. Tyrion nodded now that he had the man's attention.

"Yes believe that Stannis Baratheon would be a terrible choice and would decend the entirety of the Seven Kingdoms into chaos. And my nephew is certainly not fit to rule. My sister... well, can't say I favor her on the Throne."

"So you came all the way across the sea looking for Meereen in order to pledge your alliance to my queen. Why is it that I do not believe you?"

He questioned looking at Tyrion while glancing to the road every so often. Tyrion was silent for a moment and then his eyes wandered down to the sleeping woman in his arms. Jorah's eyes followed his and looked at Alanna's peaceful face.

"Because what I do I do for her."

He said softly. Jorah noticed the softness in the man's eyes and knew for certain since the first time he had met the two of them that this was no lie.
