Chapter-13

THE NEXT DAY

I dropped off Ben at his office. I was early today, so I decided to grab up a cappuccino and a muffin before going to the office at the coffee shop where I and Ben met last day.

After reaching office, I cleared my desk out again throwing out all the old flowers and went back to my work. I completes the files, that were placed in front of me. The work got me so engrossed in it, I did not even move from my desk until my phone rang. It read Ben.

I looked at the time on the clock kept on my desk. I picked up the phone "I will meet you there. Leaving
the office, bye!" I said and I picked up my phone, car keys and my purse. Told a clerk to inform will about me leaving for the time being.

I left the office as fast as I could, ran down the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator. I was quick on the stairs. I reached the parking space, ran towards my car, opened it and sat inside. As I just started taking my car out, a car came out of nowhere and passed from in front of me. I pulled the breaks. My heartbeat could not control it, happy to be alive as I kept a hand on my chest, started taking deep breaths and drank a bottle of water.

Took a deep breath and started to pull put my car again and this time I was careful with driving. I don't wanna risk another accident or so much time I did earlier and it hurt a lot.

I drove out carefully out of my parking space and out of the building. Within 20 minutes I was at the bakery. I parked the car in the vacant stop (lucky me). I entered into the bakery and Ben was already there sitting on one of the chairs and a table full of cakes, but he hadn't begun tasting.

"Where have you been?" He asked as he rose from his place and came towards me. "Almost in an accident." I said as I removed my coat.

"Wwwhat?! Accident?! Are you okay? Are you hurt? Why didn't you call me?" He said in a worried tone as he held me tightly. "I am fine, just some jerk speeding in the parking area." I said as I explained him and gave him a hug.

"Okay, so let's begin." Veni said. "Okay let's" I and ben said together. "After you." He said as he held his arm in the air. He pulled a chair for me and ordered me a glass of water and some coffee.

I sat and looked at all the tasty treats in front of me, best thing about planning a wedding, cake tasting and a lot of cakes to select from that is why it is a bit confusing.

"So let's begin with red velvet, then we have chocolate with a hint of mint, then vanilla with a taste of raspberry, then a fruit cake, then butterscotch, then strawberry and so on." Veni said as she pointed out as we munched on some of the cakes.

"We can even mix it up all like every layer of different flavors but the icing remains the same." She said again, I and Ben agreed in excitement. "All of them are so tasty so we will select five of them, that we can have and rest we will take home for later." I said laughing.

"It is a great idea. So we will have chocolate, butterscotch, vanilla, red velvet and the fruit cake." Ben said in a serious decision look. I agreed with a nod, we both always adored the same desserts.

"So, it is done and this will be the icing on the cake. If you guys want something else, we could make it work." Veni said.

"No, it is just perfect." I said as my eyes glowed when I looked at the cake. It looked like a huge mountain of ice with crystals all over it and on the top the perfect heart shaped ornament to display everything that we stand for. The entire table surrounding was to be decorated by flowers and candles. It looked like heaven to me.

Ben snapped his finger and it woke me up from my dream, a beautiful dream. "Hello, we are here" Ben said and I smiled as I woke up from my dream. Even Veni laughed as she looked at me of how was I lost in everything and looked really happy for the first time.

"I have never seen anyone like you before. It reminded of me of my first client. She had the same look in her eyes, when I showed her some things of the wedding." She said as her eyes got wet.

I hugged Veni. "Thank you for making it all come true." As I said all these words. "It is my pleasure, now let's get back to work." She said as she clapped her hands 2 times.

"So we meet again after 3 days for the catering and the chef will show you some of his best dishes and be there at 6pm sharp, so you can enjoy your dinner and finalize some dishes to be served." Veni said again.

"It is a great idea." Ben said as he put his hands on mine and looked into my eyes.

We said our goodbyes to Veni and decided to head over home for some us time. We were all full after eating so many cakes and coffee to neutralize the taste.

So we decided to head over and just watch some movie and enjoy the night.

We were at home before we knew it. "My stomach is about to burst!" I said as I put a hand on my tummy as I walked into home. "Mine too. Get changed, I will put in the dvd after changing too." ben said and I nodded.

Ben put in the dvd of the movie we were watching last night and continued it from where we left it off. We in our pj's with a blanket over us enjoyed our movie and this we completed it. We headed over to the bedroom to sleep in it.

As I slipped into those comfortable sheets, I started dozing off. Before I knew it, I was asleep lost in my dreams of the perfect wedding.
